I have been thinking about this terror doctrine and I don't know if there has been any thought on this, but I was thinking it could be a unit that has an aura that reduces the enemies accuracy and received accuracy and perhaps a ability use of forced retreat on one unit or in a small area that is on a 10-15 minute timer.  Any thoughts?  I was thinking maybe 240man and 100mun?

Forced retreat is a VERY powerful abilitiy in EIR.

For 240MP / 100MU, you get to effectively remove a select amount from your enemies company.

Thats why its not there ;p

But, you might be surprised with Terror company in the future.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

All you'd need to do is oversupply to 4 of them and you could reliably remove every infantry asset from your opponents opening callin. Not to mention thats the availability(no PP cost) on elite infantry so for a fraction of elite infantry cost you could remove Commando's, Rangers, AB from the field without breaking a sweat

forced retreat aint cool but i like the decreased accuracy ability.  It's pretty much the same as mark target though.

Ok, I get the point with the forced retreat thing.  If it is the same as mark target I don't really know what to say.  It is getting to the point that almost every unit or ability is starting to look like other abilities.  Sounds like you are working on the terror doctrine though so that is encouraging.  I look forward to it.

Maybe as an alternative, maybe have the prop officer have an aura that is a combo of mark target and the normal officer buff.  Or some tweak of that.  Of course it would be a toned down version of those two that you would combine.  Or maybe have it do acc debuff and recieved acc increase and then increased suppression to any unit in the aura?  Having one of those guys around an MG or mortar would be sick, but then again that is kinda what the doctrine goes for is scare them to debilitation.

Maybe .85 acc and 1.15 rec. acc. for enemies then a 1.1 suppression bonus and 1.1 suppression resistance to allied units

Dont bring back the subversion. Losing units before the game even started is retarded and has no place in eir.

Well IMO forced retreat could be made so the enemy infantry only retreats to spawn but not offmap.
And its only 1 squad you can select unlike with Propaganda war in vcoh.

Ye, perhaps if it gets the function of the british "retreat to captain", but instead of a captain it is a fixed location on the map like eg. the spawn. If you get what I am saying. Then the force retreat could work.

and ofcourse is it the enemies that should retreat to the spawn, not the officer Tongue

I think terror should have an ability that makes the enemies in a small radius fight each other for X amount of seconds like in Empires: Dawn of the modern world.

even though i know the sarcasm is there, this just made me lol too much.

british officer gets the ability to confuse axis veterans so much that they fire upon each other! imagine turning a KCH squad against the double schreck squad and MG supporting it!
