Lol, I was actually talking about mine, but you're right they aren't that hard to vet up.
Luftwaffe tankbusters are tough cookies for my babies though.

Admit it, it's much more insulting to lose to someone who has a theme for their army. Ever been pissed at losing a game to a balanced, well rounded company? Fuck no.
Ever been pissed at losing a game to someone who has the max amount of a certain annoying unit? Hell yes. Everyone has.

All these are gimmicks. Tough to beat, tough to counter. You've got to theme your own damn army to counter this shit. When you beat the other guy's shitball min/max set up, he'll accuse you of gimmickry too.
Light vehicle spam is definitely a gimmick and I had no troubles killing it dead in the original EiR with a totally unthemed company. People said "4 PaKs is a gimmick!", but it's really not, it's just that everyone seemed to think panzerschreks were some fucking paramount of AT... Hell, I often still run 4 PaKs today, and know many other people who do.

We are serious about enforcing this, and I am sure you all want to be able to have your balance thought considered by the development team with some biased, sensationalist coming into your thread and ruining it.

As I said, thank you fallen :p
A gimmick company is not necessarily a "tough to beat". Your last sentence was right, Jack, I did get accused of "gimmickry" (being a PaK Man was fun, though), but it was anything but. Simple defensive company with some MGs, bunkers, grenadiers, PaKs, and tanks being very balanced in all aspects of its composition had no trouble whatsoever fighting a "gimmick" company head to head.

Companies based around taking advantage of their doctrines are not gimmicks, its how the company was meant to be played. Allied Armor relies on light armor for capping and AI choices. Its not like they get buffed infantry and support weapons.
Its no different than taking a bunch of volks/grens in Wehr because you get some bonuses to them.

I was toying with a different company today and I had a teammate who tried some type of light vehicle spam with pershing(s) company. I just kept watching him suicide his light vehicles or walk them into infantry AT and expect to come out victorious. It's like he saw me do it a few times to him and he thought that when he used it, the strat would be an I-Win button.
It's not this company that wins the game, it's the player and how he/she uses his/her company. Wild runs a light vehicle / OBM company, and so does AmPm. I do it too. Is it overpowered because we win a lot with it? No, the players that do this are overall pretty decent with micro that is on the higher end of the skill level spectrum. It's a powerful strategy, but in the end it still comes down to micro and decision making.
