Umm they get absolutely no penetration bonus and the 100% accuracy bonus for PIATs isn't really any guarantee they'll hit trust me... i've had them miss a million times from PIAT ambush

The bonus is 200 percent accuracy and 50 percent more damage. That's all there is.

1. The 200 percent accuracy means the sappers will fire their shell at where the enemy tank is more often. It won't make the PIAT shell arc Heat-Seeking style like bazookas, shreks or RRs. The enemy tank can still very much dodge the PIATs - the shells are still very much visible, and the sound is very protruding and noticable. Not to mention the good old "send infantry to support a tank as big as a fucking tiger". It seems the axis STILL haven't learned not to pay attention to the legend - a Tiger can't solo an entire army.

2. Sure, the damage boost is nice. It doesn't help with penetration - the PIATs only get extra penetration at point blank range, and they fire as soon as they see the target - they don't wait till it goes in point blank. And at long range you can kite PIAT shells nicely.

3. PIAT sapper uncloak instantly if they need to turn a larger than 30 degree angle.

4. Use PIAT sappers yourself again - wonder when you'll start QQing axis is OP again Wink.

no, you cant doge invisible units shooting small dots.

and the tiger wasnt alone, there was a failing p4 behind the ATG. and id love to send infantry too, but since i only had 25 pop and i cant control my teammates...
and as i sayd already, shermans just came on the field, sappers were invisible and ATG should have died after it shot 1 shell. only mistake i made there was that i didnt see those button squads

What happened was your plan failed - just as you're describing it now. The ATG didn't die, the enemy had shermans ready, you had not planned for them.

PIATs werent OP.

All I can say is learn to dodge. Try playing brits and see how good players do it.

430 damage on the first volley from a 100 munitions 8 availability cloaked unit is really balanced.

6 availability* They already nerfed that once.

In fact they nerfed the munitions cost, too.

We are serious about enforcing this, and I am sure you all want to be able to have your balance thought considered by the development team with some biased, sensationalist coming into your thread and ruining it.

You don't need sappers to repair now.  Do you really need more than 6 piats?

Current piats are very competative with shreks without the cloak.   Piats have a massive damage potential and the ability to shoot through buildings and use them as a ghetto rifle nade.  In exchange, piats have a hard time hitting fast moving vehicles.

Piat ambush just takes them over the top.

This I can somewhat agree with. To maintain the same level of (unfair) nerf they had before bringing them down to 5 availability would be fine. 4 would be pushing it a bit.

I'd really like to see 3-4 PIATs bunched up together behind a single piece of heavy cover, rocksitter ;P.

If they're cloaked, they're pretty lonely, and can be defeated by infantry.

If they're blobbed, they can be kited or artileried.

Pretty basic, really.
