This is an amazingly awesome movie, and I highly recommend that everyone see it at least once.

The acting is good, the plot is intriguing (and yet somehow almost believable), the effects are extraordinarily well done, and the movie overall is absolutely worth seeing.
The movies scored an average critic score of 81/100, and an average user score of 8.5/10 on Metacritic.
(for reference The Dark Night got 82/8.8 and Star Trek got 83/8.0, so it's just as good as those two)

For realz, see the movie at least once. Maybe see it twice like me. Or see it three or twelve times, the movie's damn amazing.

Oh yeah, and if you want a real review of the movie, this one is pretty effective yet concise.

Yeah, it was directed by Neil Blomkamp, the same guys who's directing the Halo movie.
So hey, there's hope that the Halo movie won't suck.

Actually, news through the grapevine is that Steven Spielberg (sp) has pulled the HALO movie out of the trash and is interested in doing it.  Got that from DarkHorizons.com

Back on D9...I would like to see it but unfortunately I am way to busy to see it for at least a few weeks Sad

I saw it on opening night with the GF, while she said it was an odd movie, she even enjoyed it and thought that it was somewhat believable in how they portrayed it.

I liked it, more so because they didn't portray it as an american movie, and even went so far as to point out that the world was in shock when it landed somewhere else.. Wink

Was different, and somewhat refreshing.

I want to see district 10, when they return with the warriors.

It's just a shame Halo is rubbish. But I bet there are thousand of fanboys waiting for an explosion-rich, identical power-armoured space marine packed film about very little. Sounds exciting...  :|

If they made it 'Halo: Begins' a story of how master cheif came to be what he is it would be quite good. And they would aviod the whole guy walking around with a halmet thing.

If it's Halo explosions they are going to be fancy and blue, please enjoy.

I'm going to be watching the Basterds instead, though I heard there is a lot of people exploding in D9, I'll probably rent it.

I just watched the film and wow, I'm really impressed. A low budget movie has such a fresh concept and story and sells it so well that it makes high budget movies look like shit. (Especially GI Joe, i mean wtf)

This Movie is probably the best SciFi movie I've seen this century. I can't wait for a sequel.

This movie was very, very good. I really liked the "protagonist" of the story for some reason, he was just that much fun to hate.

I liked how the alien weapons made the MNU guys explode like water ballons.

Sequel should be fun to watch. Cheesy
