Community Availability Assesment

Post about the system here.
Build a company & play some games first of course.
Share your thoughts on what is good, what might be problematic, what's better, what's worse, etc.
The values can all be finetuned so with community input we'll be able to optimise the system these next few weeks

For completeness & consolidation:
Me:
Though just like to point out that under this current system and values, you can get 2 KTs, 2 Jagdpanthers, 3 Pershings etc etc without any penalty.
Which is actually a bonus for special / heavy unit users because they no longer cost PPs. Their loss on e.g. tank pool points doesn't matter because you'd run out of fuel before that is even an issue.
Nevyn's reply:
Thanks for the pointer we are already aware but this is the 1st pass, now that it is in we can adjust so we will look to work that in.

Thats why a following system which has a hard cap on certain units will be added soon.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

I'm confused by it, do I need to make an entirely new company for it to work? My current company says it will cost 4 PP, because I have 4 rangers, 14 rifles and 2 engies, but aren't the excess supposed to draw from the reserve 10 points?
Also even though I have a full company, it's only saying I have used 10 points from support and 6 from vehicles -- I haven't yet sold or bought any units (most of my units are vet so I don't intend to sell them).

It goes down if you purchase units, not up. So 0/12 means you have no units left to purchase from that pool.

i just cant build a working pe company anymore without oversupplying by 6-8pp
and i even use these crappy armored cars and shit because i had almost all my vehicle points left (since mortar HT hotchkissstukka ... flak flakvierling ... counts to support)
even my infantry is soon overssupplied after getting the small amount of 4 fallschirmjäger and 4 assault grens (thats actually nothing)
my armor is overssupplied after getting my marders as at guns....

My mega vehicle heavy PE company works just fine ^^.
I think stuarts are too high on availability (3 PP per stuart), but that's just me.

will we implement custom limits for custom doctrines?
Because remember armour doc only ever buffs armour so if I EVER have to pay for my only bonused units thats a load of bullcrap.

I still think Rangers and AB are too high. Right now at 4 if you buy the same amount as before you actually get less rifles. I thought the whole point was to promote more use of basic infantry? I think 3 would be fair, at 9 squads you cant really spam them but you can still fill up on rifles if you use them as actual elite infantry

You could get:
4 Rangers/AB (16 points)+ 12 riflemen (12 points)
And if you detract from the reserve pool you can even get another 10 riflemen, or 5 engineers or 2 rangers on top of that.
I don't think that's less than before? Maybe a little bit, but not much

Just what i though, my Infantry Heavy Luftwaffe company doesnt work anymore.
Even though we talked about this im currently at -18 at Infantry.
If i remove all the vet sergeants i could get another FJ now.
So I agree with BigDick, that PE Infantry is a bit overprice compared to other infantry.
E.g. Assault Grenadiers arent 3, compared to KCH 3, Tommie 1 and AirborneRIfles 3
FJ arent 4, compared to KCH 3, Storm 3, Commandos 4
Assault Flammen Grenadiers arent 4, compared to KCH 3, Storm 3, Commandos 4
Also the categorization of PE Units definitly needs some tweaking.
(With Marders being in Armor Category, unlike other ATGuns, 50mm will soon become the new mainline atweaponry.
Brits however seem fine to me, atleast the commandos are:
But one thing that comes to mind: the AVRE should be Armour cat, instead of Support, being similiar to the StuH!
P.s.:
Ambush Commandos are not in the list!

Yea as stated by Eirrmod the PE will probably receive some fine-tuning.

Few more things, that people should have a look at, and due to the fact that every doctrine has a total of 70+10 points they can easily compare them:
Allied Mortar 1
Airborne Mortar 2
Axis Mortar 2
2inch Mortar 1
Mortar Commandos 2
Mortar Emplacement 3
MortarHT 3
M3 Halftrack 1
Axis Halftrack 1
Bren Carrier 2
M8 3
T17 3
Puma 3
Upgunned Puma 3
Stuart 3
Tetrach 3
Staghound 4
57mm 2
Airdrop 57mm 2
Pak38 2
6pder 2
50mmATHT 3
Marder 3 (Being the only one not in support category)
