the staghound was made for vCoH.
you could only use it lategame, since its build from the armor truck.
thats why they gave it so much health, becouse a light vehicle with normal health is useless late game.
they did this on purpose, else they would just give it the same health as the t17(its the same unit) but they didnt, becouse its a late game unit.

EiR however works different. you can start with 3 stags right from the begin. and thats awesome, since they have sooo much health.

this unit must be addapted to work with EiR. i know it already had a price increase, but that wont be necessary with a health decrease. and its still a very strong unit for it price right now. it can survive 2 double schreck storms with ease, while tanks cant.

Mhmm, you can start with King Tiger too and it's lategame unit as well in vCoH...

with .50 cals shercks are useless vs stags so the only real solution is p4 or any heavy tank to take them out at range

so if you're playing against a brit player always start with double p4.

or 1 p4, pak and a shrek squad

or two paks, shrek and volks with faust

or 1 p4, 1 stug

or triple upgun puma

etc etc

if you are unsure what to call on, listen to the fog of war and try and guess what they have on

everything can be countered, not everything requires a rage post right after a thumping.

Yes, just like the 'double sherman', 'double p4' or 'quadruple AC' start this is easily countered IF you know it's coming. The only strength in these starts lies in their 'surprise element'.

And this is why especially in R+ if you expect the enemy to bring an unconventional start it could be wise to use a Recon, listen to their spawn, deploy a single recon jeep, etc.

It is as Unknown says, listen for sounds and dont use a 25 pop core. Its like only having scissors and paper ready in a game of rock-scissor-paper. Also spotting ahead although losing you the initial position if its a support weapon rush to mid, is usually a very good idea.

Staghounds are amazing light tanks, i'd say they are the best light tank.

btw please fix up the vet on it Cheesy.

Just make sure if you use Tankbusters, cover them up with an IHT, if you use a marder/stug/pak/geschutz, cover that with some AT that can fire 360 degrees.  You know 2 staghounds is worth 700mp/150 munitions/150 fuel, so remember its a lot of a brit's armour capability.

the T17 is still only useable by the Armour doctrin or did i missed something? And ofcourse by the brits.

For a start call in its the same as any other spam. Hard to counter when you dont see it coming.

it has much healths that is right but i wouldn't say it has too much health for 350MP and its light armor

but i think its mg is bugged because it just don't stop firing for reload in many cases

the combination of staghounds that protects AT guns is very deadly same to "raiding" staghounds

i had 5 in my company (now 4 because i needed fuel for the 2 churchill MKVI) they perform amazing especially since you can have more than 3 AT guns without paying PP (and can skip a second firefly)

jack a triplestaghound start just CANNOT fail vs an infantry only WM or pe start. even if theres an upgunned atht.
basically u can rape everything with a stag, bren tommy, 6pdr and piat sappers. and u still have 3 pop left for a captain or a mg.

if you really think about it the stag is absolutely  broken because of its uber mg.
yes it costs 75muni but who the fuck cares since it kills 15+ men in no time and vehicles and u dont need to have very good micro skills for that.

very good speed, very high dps vs infantry and very high hp makes it TEH perfect light vehicle. for me at least.

3 staghound callins will fail easy when you bring a p4 or a panther at start

i start very often with a P4 and an other source of at so 3 brit stags are no huge problem

the us T17 are an other thing since they can stun tanks

brit stags are beaten pretty easy by p4 or panther just don't try to kill them with lonely paks and shreks (shreks are worthless anyways)
