Rage Quit in First 6 Minutes of Game
«

A 3v3 in Abbe, RE mode. Axis are Area213, Kwiatek (or soemthing like that), and StikUpKid, versus PQ, and 2 other allies. Game was so fast forgot to check their names. Now the point of this post is only to see if Stik up had reason to flip out the way he did.
In an ideal world, after looking at replay there are defintely some mistakes I made, but in the end Im not so sure my errors were that grave that he had to quit. She was just pouting from losing a V2 Panther to (surprise) T17 + M10.
If you notice, the Pak he was crying about was decrewed while shooting a sherman on his flank, and was re-crewed just about the time he lost his panther.
In any case, just posting the replay to see if you guys agree with his fury and his dropping.
And to StikUpHisAss, F U too.

No matter how the game goes in the first six minutes, it's way over the top to quit that early.

No its not, the first 5 mins can and mostly (like over 95%) do win or lose the game.

That's really not true, unlike in vCOH.

Depends on the companies, really. If one company is more defensively orientated and the other side's companies are not, losing vital "camp ground" can set you up for a diminshed chance of victory if a company with a lot of defensive units is allowed to "set up shop". Its more a thing of 2v2s, you can still rebound in 3v3s even if the first fights dont go all that well.. its worse when a guy gets his entire core destroyed in R mode, now that sucks.

I've seen people rebound after 5 minutes of losing even in vCoH. In EiRR - the first 5 minutes generally mean absolutely nothing - it's whether you can counter what's been fucking you for the first 5 minutes in the next 40

Yet if you've lost why bother? All your doing is vetting them.

So what are you saying here? Lets all play a game for 5 minutes then quit when we think we lost? What's the fucking point?

It's frowned upon to leave a game after just 5 - 10 minutes 'because you already lost'.
If we find people doing this with the sole purpose of 'farming PPs' they will be punished.
It causes harm to your opponents and the community in general as usually it takes 10 - 15 minutes to get a game going, having it end in just 5 is not fun for anyone and will only cause frustration, etc.

Not all games, 95% of them. And only a few people can tell when they've lost it would seem. Just cos i can tell when the games over doesn't mean everyone can. And ofcourse theres still vet to gain, most people play for vet, and even if you've lost you can still vet your units.

If I get a game where I can't really leave out from the Spawn I really don' feel like playing in it...
i.e heavily stacked games, or something alike those where you are pushed off from the middle section in few minutes down to your spawn area...ain't really worth it

Because a forum post should be like a woman's skirt. Long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.

you'll be on the back foot for most the game unless you use your units to their full advantage, which a lot of people dont and you'd be forced to use a heavy counter/tank as a solution.

From the comments, I cant really tell if any one watched the replay. But as a general principle it seems that dropping 5 minutes into a game is bad form.
I know for many players the obvious way to avoid such a problem is either to stack, or only play with/against certain individuals. Or, one could just not care and play with anyone and everyone.
It seems to me, that dropping so soon can always be avoided by choosing the games you join. By joining you are telling the others in the room you'll fight it out as best you can, for as long as you can take it.
Hint: Some folks request certain minimums before they play, "do you have vent?", "is this really your first game, or are you a smurf?" etc. If you do those things, then you should never purposefully drop 5 mins in.

if someone wants to quit 6 minutes into a game let em. who are you to make up this rubish rules on when to quit! fuck that you are horrid player to boot im surprise most people just dont leave out right as soon they see your horrid play.
like two said nobody is here in the business of padding anyone vet let alone wins. if you think your chances are slim in the 1st 5 minutes by watching teamates run around like chickens without heads, personal gut feeling, rage of losing vet 3 ketten or running into a stack gimmick Co then leave! nobody has a gun to your hear accept the whiney aka anthony kids who feel you intentionally drop hack. its stupid to think people arent gonna rage quit let alone be accused afterwords of drophacking. fuck it i can give two shit if i take win or loss im not gonna cry if you leave and you shouldnt when i as well. by now everyones Co should be maxed out and only people running gimmicks seem to care about this.

Do me a favor watch the replay, its short. You tell me, is it "horrid play" or "rage quit". Was the situation so bad he had to go? Eventhough 90% of our companies (and theirs) hadnt hit the field. Or, was he just an asshole?

My company is not maxed out and i do not run a gimmick company, however, i still dislike people dropping in the first 5 minutes. There aint a thing i can do about it, and they may be throwing me the win (or loss if a teammate does it) but it's plain old bad sportsmanship.
Being a casual player, and not playing every day religiously, i do feel the effects quite harshly if somebody decides to do that as it tends to waste my one of two, pushing it three games for the day. Thats on a day where i'm actually playing EiRR, usually being a day off, and i dont get many of those.
That, and i'm a firm believer that no match is lost till a side is out of a sufficient quantity of AT or AI for it to be possible to make a come back.

if he want to leave his reasons are his own, now its just up to you to avoid him altogether in launcher thus saving you future head aches. take it how you want its really up to you.
