What I thought would be fun would be to have supervised PP gambling on EIRR games.

Sign up you and your team for a sanctioned game, and have a mod randomly pair up teams according to their skill level, then place a ratio to the game based on the average team level, the players, win/loss ration per player etc.

Then before the game starts, people bet PPs on the fourms from a particular account on a specific team to win

The game plays out. One player from each team should broadcast so ppl could watch their PPs be frittered away. (hehe)

Winners get compensated the appropriate amount of PPs, and the losers get nothing.

To keep it fun, PP bets should be small, like 10-20 PPs max per bet, something you could easily gain back in one game.

What does everyone think?

Waffen PP puts up a game

Most good players join in

Waffen PP bets that the allied team wins.

Waffen PP gets more PP

Good idea which relies in faith in humanity = fail.

I can only see that as most epic teams arranged on forum, and assigned pps by devs, that would be cool.

could work if the teams are close enough to each other,
otherwise it falls apart

well obviously, the participants wouldnt be able to bet period.

I think the teams would have to be seperated into classes, and the teams arranged between those in a class. So you dont get stacks, just players of equal skill level.

There are just some ppl you blatently know will be put into the highest class regardless of what co. they are running, and I think this would be big enough to get some interesting games.

We could also limit the type of bet as a "bet to win" type thing, so your team has to win in order for your bet to count. No betting that one side is gonna lose shit.

There will be no throwing games unless you convince the opposing team to take a dive, which quite frankly, unless you mail them some money, is not gonna happen.

And if it does, then wow, get a life man.

Well, what I wanna do is make EIRR more of a spectator sport. This would incite competition, and would probabily be the games most worth shoutcasting, and sending them off to GR.org, and relic news as adveritsement games.

Write what teams you would like to see most for 2v2, I'm curious.

I thought the teams would pair up themselves, then submit their team name, and have a dev/mod choose which class they are in.

edit- but to answer your question, a cool match up that I could see with teams that would probably be submitted anyways in the highest class would be something like...

Saint Pauli + Elite Gren. (Axis) (if they still play)
vs.
Two + IPlayForKeeps (Allied)

OR perhaps have tournaments, With winners gettoing Special bonuses, niot huge but maybe 1 unit... Say an allied armor company getting a Firefly or better yet 1 unit of their choice to add to their company.

And the tournaments would be a fun side.

Right not its all casual play and nto to organized, Liek tournaments.

The war map is to make it like WW2 Online wherein there is big competition.

Just adds some more interesting factors.

Or perhaps on the war map you knwo how many wins it would take to push a map in one direction or the other, so you can keep track of the allied wins and axis wins?

Also, I lost a game due to not enough anti-infantry units, so airborne get double damage at each vet level.

More changes to come.

The room for exploitation is too high in this devs opinion.

While I agree with Draken's post on this, I do agree it would be fun.  Tournaments would be another fun alternative...

The room for exploitation is too high in this devs opinion.

If all the parameters from my first 2 posts are set into place, how is it possible for there to be exploitation?

There is no way to skew the odds of one team winning, and having the game be a PP washout if they are properly grouped to begin with so there's no stacking, and having only bets to win so no one will throw a game to get his buddies more PP.

Edit- Gah nvm.. players can bet on the other team to win if their buddies throw the game.
Pfft, we never get to have any fun. Might as well start up a tournement circuit.
