They are not worth 165 muni at all. Why do they have that price? And 4 pool cost seems a bit extreme.

They've got to be the worst elite inf yet they are the most expensive.

Lower muni price to 0 and increase MP cost or lower it to 50 muni and pool should be 3 max :/

Discuss.

Have to agree with this, they cost too much for too little.

No...they are the best anti-infantry elite infantry in the game.  Why exactly should they be free?

Yes they sure are sweet when they get gunned down by charging KCH while they are in green cover... they are totally awesome.

Sure make there munitions cost 0, but in return I want to see my Storms all come with Stg44 by default as well.

Though I complain I definitely don't think their Muni cost should be 0 but something like 80 or maybe a little less.

They were fine at 320 manpower 350 muni, it was a kneejerk response to nerf them.

mando's armor and their sten gun is somewhat weak compared to other elite infantry.
mandos get mowed down pretty easily.

If you think Commandos are weak, you should play a game against Snoop's commando company.

weak as in their effectiveness to price.  fairly expensive, 4 pool cost, etc.
unless you choose T4 piat mandos, which in that case it is super spammable

Also, mandos don't get any mando-exclusive doctrinal buffs compared to other elite inf except sight and smoke buff that doesn't really help much

problem with commandos is that their doctrine doesn't support them too well. Airborne, luftwaffe, and rangers all get some pretty decent buffs from their doctrines throughout the tiers.

In comparison, commandos get what? 15% more sight? a reduction of 60 seconds to their smoke ability? Nothing big, definitely not raid assault, crete veterans, tank reapers, etc.

As far as a comparison to storm troopers. They get stealth which adds a lot to the unit. Additionally, they have great armor and the highest HP per man.

The price of commandos is fine, its relatively on par with other elite infantry. Its the lack of doctrine buffs to support their use near the end of the war. Try using them during the first week, they will dominate. Once the tier 3's and 4's come out, its a whole different story.

Commandos are like a mortar kombat character, good at 1v1 but not that great versus a lot of infantry. Using smoke, they can waste anything else 1v1 and hardly lose a member. They however arent cost effecient versus mp40s, etc. And they are definitely NOT something you should try to slug it out with against fallschirms and flamers you need smoke for as well.

Keep 1 squad around forever and keep using them defensively or meatshielded by other units until the smoke recharges, I've racked up 17-20 kills on a commando squad that way. They are not throwaway infantry, get them healed up.

Solo artists with a timer on their IWIN-button. Use them as such. If you want blunt and cheap, use riflenades or someting else.

The same could be said about other units like Airborne or Luft. Does that mean they should get no doctrine specific buffs? I am just saying, for a commando tree they don't compare well to other similar style doctrines.

Schirms can fight any type of infantry from any range and win, commandos cant.

AB's deliver alphas, and then move.

Commandos commit to a fight, win it and pull back.

I agree most with that they're too expensive for their purpose but at the same time unlike falls and aB and rangers and storms, they get a very effective close range weapon plus the smoke for free so id unno
