I tried installing a camera mod to get increased zoom out for vCoH, because I have a widescreen monitor and it sucks that you see less of the battlefield than a person with a regular monitor because of Relic dodgy widescreen support.   But now I can't see units when I zoom out in EiR even with the Improved Visuals mod.  I tried replacing the files I changed with backups but the problem is still there.  Is there an easy way to fix this or am I gonna have to reinstall the game?

Can you see the units in vcoh? I thought the not seeing the units was something that happened from the range on all coh versions.

I have same problem on my 24 inch monitor, I edited zoom out manualy in past so I could see units, I will try it again, because in current state it makes my widescreen useless.

Make the game an in screen window and reduce the size of the game screen to an acceptable level.

Thought your problem was that the size of your screen dictated whether or not you could see your units if zommed out.

Thought making the screen game size smaller would help.

But then again, I dont have this problem. Never lost sight of units because i zoomed out alot.

set the correct resolution and aspect ratio in the game to your monitor (or a lower/higher resolution and same aspect ratio)..
and then max out the model detail slider in coh graphic settings....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_display_standard

my monitor is 24" lcd widescreen 1920x1200 WUXGA 16:10ratio and i run the same resolution in coh.
raised the model detail slider to max, made the camera zoom out mod work(and see the units at max zoom out) and i see more of the field than standard screens....
