Well, there's not much to be said about it. The only thing it can actually damage is buildings, it got a poor accuracy, it almost doesn't damage infantry, and it can't dont anything against tanks. It is also the only arty that panzer elite can have, except for hummels. It REALLY needs a buff. (Like the nebel fire lasting-effect maybye, or a higer damage against tanks.)
So, what do you think about it?

Maybe a munitions upgrade to the unit that gives it higher damage? Improved rockets, 60 munitions, +33% damage ?

Smokaz, you want us to pay on arty to give it decent arty power? Doesn't make much sense to me. Besides, the hotckiss stuka cost 125 fu and around 100 mp more than a regular hotckiss.

It actually costs the same amount of manpower and the same pop.  It's also in the support pool instead of the much more competitive vehicle pool.  If you have the spare fuel (entirely possible in even a vehicle heavy PE company, assuming no Panther), there's no reason to take the ordinary Hotchkiss over it.  Especially if you want to use Armoured Cars since you can fill up your vehicle pool with ACs and the support pool with Stukas.

I sometimes just use it as a regular Hotchkiss and play aggressively with it, treating the artillery barrage as a "freebie" since I wouldnt have spent the fuel anyway.  Don't treat it like a normal artillery piece and there's no reason to be disappointed in my view.

I came up with that idea a long time ago for SE lol. but yea it's a great idea Cheesy i think bob figured on having the fire on stuka last longer orsomething like that. It would be a doctrine ability and it'd be just like the priest, another barrage along side the regular Stuka barrage.

imo, with new doctrines add ability that either adds suppressive value to hotchkiss or gives it a lingering flame effect similar to the MHT.

I, as a former hotch stuka spammer, don't actually think there is actually anything wrong with the unit. It's just there's no doctrine buffs helping it become more powerful, which means it becomes obsolete once you unlock the hummel and it's flame barrage.

It snipes infantry very well, and the 4 stuka rockets allow for some pretty horrible devastation on any allied elite infantry that decide they can "take" it. Lure the to follow you then let off the silent barrage a bit ahead of them(towards you). They'll keep running, and straight into the rockets. Boom.

So, what I suggest is either a slight price decrease to show it's "low-tier" position, or allowing some doctrinal buffs to affect it. For instance, the flame rounds T3 for the hummel could very well also make the hotch stuka rockets leave the mortar HT flames in the targeted area. I do not propose nebelwerfer rockets, as they would be pretty much a downgrade against a lot of enemy units - in particular support weapons.

The problem should not only be fixed in SE.

Giving it 4 Nebel rockets gives ALL PE access to group suppression tool, then you add other bonuses to SE like cooldown timers.

Mysthalin, if you spammed hothckiss stukas, you are the worst eir player ever. I already got a clear shot of a rifleman blob. Not aside it, in the damned middle of it. The rockets killed 2 guys on 15, and do almost no damage to the others. Getting infantry straight in the rockets serves no purposes, as the rocket can only damage buildings.
 And it didnt even supress. It does snipe infantry badly, just like a normal hotckiss, but it got a way slower fire rate, so it's useless.
