british 25 pdr vet bug

hi, im using the brit 25 pdr for 2 games now.
the 1st game it got 21 XP and i upgraded it to vet 2.
in the 2nd game i saw it was at vet 2 and it scored some mortar kills. i clicked the howy inside the bunker and it showed 6 infantry kills.
at some point it got overrun and i retreated the crew, then a tommysquad of mine captured the howy again.

after the game the 25 pdr showed it still has 22 XP (1 from upgrading to vet 2) so obviously it didnt get XP.
the 1st game i did not retreat it off the field, so maybe this is the problem?

say if you need replay or screenshots.

you have to keep it on the field untli the end of the match to get the vet, thats always been the case.
