Personally I love it, the only real flaw I see with it is the lack of a decent counter for artillery spam.

*cough* Bombing Run *Cough*

Bombing run and Dive bombers + Spy will destroy Artillery spam. Other tactic is to send in Tanks to boom them or sneak in infantry via Radio silence. Possibilities are plenty- but arty IS a pain in the ass when they bomb your squads, you have to use camoflaged nettings to save your buildings from arty D:

Very easy to do, always have a single ruse point to camo net buildings.

Arty is very easy to counter, I use armor and a combination of jeep scouts and ranger squads to back up my force, I rely on Puddin for precision air support, blitz is pretty good with counter artillery fire, while S-D loves those russian rocket trucks.  I love punishing arty whores every game I play because people seem to think they control the map when they don't, heh.

Remember that cities block LOS, and the only real way to see what's inside them is via air recon... high AA right behind the city and you can focus on defending a small area that isn't vulnerable to arty fire so readily.  The rest of your forces move out to capture the map and harass points (arty, like level bombers, sucks against armored vehicles).  If your shermans are being hit by arty, don't be afraid.  It's only AA, Infantry, HTs, and ATGs that are the most vulnerable to them, and putting them a bit behind your 'scouting' line prevents much arty from hitting em.  It's all about combined arms.

Congratulations, dear sir...I must say, never before have I seen such precise gunnery displayed. - CrazyWR (on Leaderboard Howitzers)
