They are available for download on the EA's site here.

What you can get:

Command and Conquer Tiberian Dawn NOD and GDI discs
Red Alert Soviet and Allied discs
Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun + Firestorm expansion

Hey, EA might not be this evil after all! (disclaimer: they still are)

Yet they don't work 100% have bugs and crashes occasionally.

In order to run them you need to search all kinds of patches and programs

Oh yes Online play nearly impossible

If you follow the installtion guide provided on the site you shouldnt have any problems.

If your colours are all screwed up on windows 7 when you are in-game, ctrl-alt-delte and terminate explorer as a process. You wont be able to navigate your folders, and the only way to bring it back would be to restart the pc, but c and c will run fine.

I've been playing those games for a long time now. I've only (1) managed to play Online with C&C 95 it was bloody awsome but it doesn't really work all too well. It has connection issues. Everything below Tiberium Sun runs badly in online play tbh. And yes I know the graphic bugs and how to fix 'em. Its the Missing file and error thing I'm refering to. Take a unit to far up corner and bang it crashes and AI has habit to take units there xD

I just had a thought, what if film studios released old films for free because they looked like garbage on new TVs. That's basically why EA can do this... because people tend to buy only the cutting edge stuff.

Well, after a while old films tend to come out on TV. I mean, its the same thing, sort of. You don't see it whenever you want, but that is the more convenient way for them, I guess. Either way, people getting Tiberian Sun for free is awesome. My 2nd favorite CnC game, after Generals. Would love to play it so many years after.
