Do anyone know how many metres it goes per range unit?

Eg. apparantly a rifleman that increase it's sticky range by 15 ain't 15 metres

Assigning an absolute distance to a relative system like CoH is not going to work out, It can't be done.

Tanks fire for 45 units but units throw grenades for 25 range. If you've ever actually thrown a grenade before there is no way you can ever even remotely come close to throwing it half the distance of a tank shot. Even things like M203's are only effective out to 350 meters.

Your best off forgetting this and just refering to it as range or range units.

ok, yeah I have thought about that. But still the battalion screen says that vampire halftrack can get a 100m tank awareness, which confuses me.

We use M as the range marker in the Launcher for ease of reading. It's better then putting Range or Units. Every thing is listed in Meters

but for the launcher 1 meter=1 range unit in CoH

I'm not even sure the grids in the map editor are the correct distances for coh Range units.
