I win a lot of games, but I dont have a lot of vet.

I'm starting to see a pattern here. Durr.

Am I the only one who think that the following units:

Grens/volks
Rifles
Tommies

For some reason, not pgs. Dont see those great vet 3 PE armies.

Could use a increase in their required xp?

I think XP is fine for those units.

But i there's ever another vet rework, it should be decided right away what the devs want vet to accomplish.
Is it something that 'realistically' builds up, and troops get slightly better/more experienced after each battle (ie slow but steady vet, only slight improvements with each level), or is it something that just gets handed out for killing a bunch of krauts, and turns squads into Medal of Honor/Knight's Cross recipients.
Right now it seems to be an uneven mix-match of both, and it's really outrageous on some units.

Maybe its just me being a crybaby, but the amount of vet 2 rifles with stickies or "fake" vet 2 rifles with stickies puts me off. The range bonus on sticky is better than a extra faust or grenade, even a bundle.

tommies require a lot of xp to vet up, almost as much as grens but recons could use an increase by at least 5-10% cuz they're real easy to vet up.

pz grens dont have enough health or enough men to really keep a live long enough to vet up.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

That's another issue I have: units suddenly becoming much better/different with vet. Extra Sticky range (Rifles), Sprint (PE), .5 received suppression (KCH) etc. It suddenly changes the unit to something entirely different, and it seems so stupid. Either have the ability always available/at an easily-attainable Vet 1, or don't include it at all. It makes no sense for unit to ascend and become demi-gods at Vet 3 or whatever.

It doesn't make them entirely different, it just complements them.

Its the reward.

Having those bonuses all the time would be lazy and imbalanced. Why would you want the best buffs to be available at vet 1? Lazy.

What Smokaz is saying is that Panzer Grens are hard the level up and US Riflemen are easy to level up.

Are you saying that +10 Sticky range does not change the use or dynamic of a rifle squad at all?
Or that .5 received suppression wouldn't change a unit's use, or allow for uses that could not be achieved before?
The fact is that all the best abilities that require Vet encourage vet whoring, and punish newer players, or really any player that doesn't have a massive amount of Vet.
By allowing these abilities at Vet 1, you'd be allowing many more players/units to actually benefit from them, while still having some sort of XP requirement on their use (so that not every unit can access the 'best' abilities). Vet requirements/ability effectiveness would need to be looked at, but it would really benefit the whole mod if done correctly.

+10 sticky range does not change anything in my gamestyle of rifles , the only thing that does change it is that  , that it's easier to sticky a tank if axis player will not move away in time

"Or that .5 received suppression " on KCH does change it's gamestyle because i know i can rush US mg head on and kill it . without it i would get suppressed

grenadiers do not hit vet3 fast. it takes quite some time to get them to vet3 (if your unlucky and playing against a t17 spammer all ur vet inf dies  Wink )
tommies do not hit vet3 fast but they usually dont die if vet3.
rifles are vet3 in no time, they die sometimes but who cares, you have 10 others  Smiley
dont know about volks

dont know about volks
Volks get vet in a moderate amount of time with MP40s + proper micro.
But I've even had vanilla Volks (recrew squads and such) get vet with a bit of luck.
