Which is better? The defensive officer costs more and yet i find that the captain's FOO is just retarded. Even even you see the smoke come down and start moving your units, by the time the AI stops fucking around and moves, the unit gets suppressed/pinned by the arty and you're forced to retreat. I fail to see how the defensive officer is better despite costing more.

FOO costs 140 Munitions. the Captain also doesn't boost offensively. Where as the Defensive officer boosts 25% accuracy and 20% damage (EDIT:yeah oops typo)

220% damage? Holy smoke grenades, I want that! (I think you mean 20%? :p)

Cost of officer: 180Mp 170Mu Cost of captain: 150Mp 40Mu + 140Mu (FOO)
Captain is still cheaper. What troop buffs does the captain provide? And yes i think you meant a 20% dmg increase. Doesnt seem hugely noticeable since you can only supervise 1 squad at a time (without doctrine abilities)

Thats actually a small curiosity of mine... Why doesn't the Webley crit?
I mean, he's British, a Captain and therefore an all around bad ass.
My British bias aside... I can't see it being too big of an issue, as if you decide to pick up a weapon with him, you lose the potential to one shot that occasional wandering man at point blank range - And he doesn't exactly have the firing rate of the Wher Officer's Luger. >.>
As I said though, more of a passing curiosity than a genuinely put forward argument; just vocalising my thoughts.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

It's pretty simple hicks.
6 Captain-terminator death platoon.
That's why they're not getting crits.

What's stopping Officers from doing that at the moment?
And wouldn't the first Armoured Car that said hello put an end to the terminators?
These are questions, not attacks lol.

The fairly prohibitive 170 MU cost. It works fine to have such a callin, but it's very damn expensive to do, heh. A single armoured car won't do much with the 13 extra popcap you'd have with the 6 terminators : this 13 pop could feature 4 commando PIATs or 3 sapper PIATS or whatever you like ;p.

The point remains that commonly fielded units such as Armoured Cars, MG's, just about any vehicle will make a mess of said squad - And are part of pretty much all commonly fielded call ins by axis players.
Not to mention a pair of Volks at stand-off range would make a mess of such a squad on it's approach.
Now if you tried to couple up said Captain-Terminator squad with a bunch of Piats of any description... A light vehicle could run circles around you. An attempt to couple the doom squad with armour of any description, and Paks/50mm's on wheels would tear you a fresh arse.
Would the squad be powerful? Yes - In the right situation. But anybody with their head screwed on will find that they are likely already fielding a viable counter.
And just to theory craft with equal pop workings...
12 pop on Captains, 3 squads of Piats for AT support - 24 total pop.
One PIV, one HMG, one Mortar - That's 18 pop, or perhaps 19 pop. I'm not precise on Wher unit population. But you'd counter that epic blob in less pop and be able to field extras.

Rather than having a long and winded argument of theorycrafting(I can cycle PIATs with an ATG without any worry, you know?) I'll just post this little vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dkvvnkcb51M&feature=relatedThis is the reason why we're not giving a 40 mun, 2 popcap unit a critting pistol ;p.

Ha! I remember that video, very nice although the walking animation looked weird... What made me laugh was the simple comment "they didn't do shit to the panther though"

Holy shit. I remember that video, completely forgot while we were discussing though.
I was rather enjoying this discussion too lmao.
Well, as ridiculous as that video was, honestly, who in their right mind would throw that much infantry at critting units? >.>
Honestly though, the Captain does feel a little defenceless till he picks up a weapon. Which he loses at the end of the game. o.o
