OK, Until People stop being so brash and not actually addressing the question in a thread i will continue to make new ones since i can not delete irrelevant posts in my own thread.

Out of 14 replies there was 2 ppl who actually responded... Thats utter builshit, you want to argue go to another thread.

Lionel it was a Rifle bar squad with a Rifle squad behind it, and there were no T4s that game, And that was it, My storm shrecks were in green cover being a wreck.

The 2nd innocent occurred to Airborne Bars in the middle of no Cover and i ran by and from a distance 2 guys died before i could move away.

Maybe someone could test it with me, or maybe i will geta  test and show some people...  Since without a replay apperently it seems your word is worthless.    I did wait untill i noticed it over numerous games where in the bars seem to crush Storms, while i see LMGs go against airborne or Rangers and MP44s and they all seem to hold up more to those and its the same kind of elite inf...

These guys are considered elite for their cloaking ability, not their staying power *woof woof*.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Why don't you collect up your love beads and potpourri and find something constructive to do.

Ok, number 1.

with alittle checking in the RGDs, I can tell you that the storm armor has not changed from tp_infantry.

This is the armor that grenediers/volks/rifles/ the majority of all infantry use in the game.

You cannot buff a specific weapon directly against stormtroopers, because they share the same armor type, any changes you make would affect BARs vs. grens and volks.

You say you see no change between the Rifle/Gren matchup, so that cannot possibly be the case.

#2.)

The very way people use stormtroopers in CoH in general directly contradict the CoH cover system. By this I mean that while storm troopers are invisible, the player controlling ignores cover entirely.

Your telling us that your always in green cover. We cannot confirm this until you post a replay. You may have 'thought' you were in cover, but sitting behind a tank wreck does not always convey the Green cover because green cover is directional.

You can have that little green shield and receive nearly none of the benefits, so again, we need a replay to see what you did.

#2.5)

Also the way ppl use storms also is condusive to producing situations where when/if the storm troopers are decloaked, whatever decloaked them is practically ontop of the storms, therefore leading to the rape.

Second situation sounds like what I described above, yet again, you have no replay/video so we have to take your word on the distance between 2 squads. You fail to mention if you were decloaked by anything. Also if the airborne BARs were on no cover and you 'ran past' then chances are you were on no cover too and are prone to taking damage/getting critted/ any number of things can happen.

#3)

Many people think that because stormtroopers are a doctrinal unlock/call in from vCoH that they have some amazing kind of survivability.

Newsflash, they are Grenediers with 15 more HP. That's it.

They never got any more survivable in vCoH until they hit vet2 and got Elite Armor, and in EiR, we have no Elite armor conveyed by vet.

This difference between Grens and Storms in terms of HP is neglible, especially if whatever is firing at the Storms (BARs) are in short range.

Only a grand total of 2 more BAR bullets need to hit a single Storm member to reduce that HP advantage they get to the HP that the Grens have.  (Bar Dmg = 7) (7x2= 14 dmg for 2 hits) (8 extra bullets for the full squad)

#4.)

Storms die all the time, yet you see Grens destroying BAR squads.

This is simple.

Rarely do storms actually find themselves in a postion that they can fight back and win the firefight. They need the MP44s.

LMG Grens will always take on a BAR squad, and every rifleman that is downed reduces that squads firepower.

Calculate in any other amount of variables and you can see why Grens dont have a problem with rifles most of the time.

Storms dont fight unless they got MP44s. They run and get shot in the back. They take damage without dishing it back out to reduce the rifle's DPS.

Thats it, I hope that was a good indepth analysis

MP44 storms still get raped by SF. And the only case where LMG grens don't also get raped like that is when you have them behind green cover with the rifles charging (best possible circumstance really), which won't happen all too often.

I still see what you mean but I just wanted to point this out. Smiley

LMG is just that good.

Maybe the Storm w/shreck ended up destroying the cover they were hiding behind? I dunno
