Well I find HMG's an excellent option with Airborn. Grenadiers with MG 42's as well, but its not just the unit. I try to achieve enfilade fire from a defilade position, and I utilise combine arms tactics. If I see infantry, I don't just send units in and try to overpower, I try to produce effective fire down range.

Effective fire is any fire that suppresses the enemy, and realistically speaking, Supressing fire is one round, within one metre, every second. So therefore, effective fire is not fire that kills the enemy, but also fire that limits the return fire of the enemy. CoH is able to produce that theory quite effectively, especially with the use of MG42's or HMG's.

where did ya hear about the mod ? (always curious to see where we get people from)

Not sure, to be honest, I've been looking for some mp-scenario-type of maps for CoH (the idea of capturing resources and building things during a battle ruins the game for me, at least a bit), and then I stumbled upon EiR and it looked pretty much like something I've been looking for. Smiley

(still didnt have the time nor the chance to play a match Sad, hope things change during this weekend)
