***Final Version***

My latest map, set in Holland between Oosterbeek and Arnhem. This map is inspired by the map of the same name from the game CC2. Expect vicious fighting over the center road, as it is the only way to reliably advance armor as most of the ditches are uncrossable.

The map is based on the advance of the British 30th Corp up Highway 69 to Arnhem.

Command needs Allied forces to advance up to causway, quickly as the weather is expected to deteriorate as the afternoon progresses into the overnight hours. Smiley

haha if i knew how to put them in.

As of now I am relying on using tall grass and shallow water.

But suggestions for a better way would be greatly appreciated

I don't think tall grass slows it down.

Either way building & object placement could Tongue.
And yeah.. shallow water although that might make it odd.

Update

After taking a break I am getting motivated to churn this thing out. I really look forward to finding some time in the next few weeks to finish it and hopefully playtest it.

Should help plug the gap in the lack of 1v1 and smaller 2v2 maps

Just for you Kolath Smiley

My goal on this map is to have players walk away feeling filthy. There is more mud on this map than grass

My goal on this map is to have players walk away feeling filthy.

If only your soldiers got more dirty the longer they were in the fight, like in medieval 2: Total War...

You people and your demands Cheesy

I'll convert it when I get home from class today, on the assumption people will playtest it and get me some feedback about what to change before I go back and do detailing

Ok, 4p goodness ready for deployment.

I will hopefully have some time to get a game or two in on it tommorow, but if others could use it and give some feed back I love you good, long time

Beta release 2 at the top, basically just made it 4 player (as originally intended)

haha i fail at this, I realized it yesterday but I was on my way out with friends. I'll get it fixed once and for all in a minute.

Thanks for trying to playtest for me, I look forward to hearing how it plays. I think I should have some time tonight to get in a few games.

Ok, I need help.

For whatever reason it will not let me turn this map into a 4p.  I have 4 hqs and entry points assigned to players 1 through 4, but it just continues to show up as a two player map.

Suggestions.

I am sooooo close to being done with this map, so it makes it all the more infuriating Angry

change the name of the map, change the discription and try saving it as a completely different file, see if that alters something.

Thanks, but it turns out I didnt take the human stupidity factor into account.  Tongue

I for whatever reason used HQ markers instead of starting points, so it is now corrected and ready for 4 player goodness.

Test away, and I should be around later to get a game or two in Smiley

Just played this map.

the layout is very good, but it seems a bit small for a 2v2.  Maybe convert this to a 1v1 (or at least release a 1v1 version of it.)

We are also worried about the territories.  Some of the lines were a bit odd, and there weren't enough, I think.  You also need to remove the 'whole  map' territory (the one that isn't supposed to be one).

Apart from that, as I said, the layout was good, and it was a good play.  Keep up the good work.
