I don't see how a triple or double core start rather than a single increases your ability to deal with a double tank start, assuming you don't first start with a recon or a jeep to find out he is bringing double tanks. If you have a single core start and you do happen to find out your opponent is bringing a double tank start there is no reason why you couldn't just call in something else that is better designed to counter his gimmick.

Or are you saying that you start with 8 pop first and then call in the other 2 groups shortly after depending on what is best suited? There is no reason why you couldn't just start with a jeep in that case. (At least then you won't run the risk of having your first 8 pop annihilated)

Having a single core doesn't force you into to bringing it out at the start of a game regardless of what the enemy is bringing, you can still adapt.

This, just put 2 pios with mines and goliaths on your 25 pop call in and you'll be fine against any kind of tank/inf spam.

Lai seems overwhelmingly attracted to you having more muscle, or any person in this game for that matter. Perhaps he's hiding something from us.

You are so cool guy that I will tell you how to make your company OP.

Mix flame pios (mines can be usefull if you got munitions buy it on all pios) with your mg (you are 95% safe from almost any kind of infantry danger including elite troops and it's 5 pop callin), I don't think you will need more then 4x this combo.

Mix paks with lmg42 gren make 2-3 callins like that 2 if you got pak in core, have atleast 3 fully uped p4s, rest is depedant of your style of play so you can take panther or gwagon, imo panther would be better for you.

If your core is getting raped very often, start with p4 + pak + mg + gren lmg or 3 flame pio, 1 goliath would be nice since it's kinda panic button if things goes shit.

FAST ATTACK:
3 x 50mm Up-Gunned Puma's
2 x Storm Troopers

INFANTRY:
5 x Grenadiers

1 x Panzer IV

ANTI - TANK:
2 x Pak 38

SUPPORT:

1 x Infantry Half Track
1 x Knights Cross Holders
1 x Sniper

how about a 25 pop opening platoon instead of 20?

a sniper in your start is also not very smart i think. you have very little pop at that point to protect him.
snipers are already very hard to keep alive, having two of them as a new player is asking for trouble if you ask me.

also, if your mortar dies at the start, you have no more arty what so ever. id sell 1 sniper for a nebel or mortar.

you also did not use all your fuel, id never do that but its your choise. (a p4 is same manpower as 2 volks, but the p4 is gonna get more kills most of the time.

Sniper start usually not the best idea, in the beginning you have 25 pop and sniper taking up 7. You can get overrun very easily.
Also cant do anything against any kind of vehicle, a M8 spam start or 2x Sherman will rape you. If you want to start with sniper you need more units to be able to protect it properly. You seem to be low on AT as it is in your core.
Later in the game you'll have more pop, try to call on your sniper when you do. You will then have more pop left for a solid group of units on the field to protect it aswell as to deal with the enemy troops.

Wow? Only ONE mortar? I go round with 2, I would go with 3 but I can't spare the muntions for it. Its the only that I manage to keep alive with my company, and its the only units I seem to use well, I got 2 units Vet 2. Sadly lost one, but I got another in the leaderboard, and both of them were within...2-3 games
But yeah, As said, 8 MG's seems complete and utter over kill, I go with 3. One for the opening and 2 1 Mortar/Mg Call-ins Smiley
Take 5 out and put the munitions else where, like repair kits or anything you feel you could do with, and 2 Nebels seem a bit of a waste as well, I take another Puma (Can't remember the Fuel count for it :<) or at least some kind of vehicle that you can buy using the fuel you get back ^^

And for the other guy, Yeah, I have to agree with everyone, Having a sniper on a starter seems a bitter counter intrusive, Although, if you're getting it to work, then good on ya Smiley

ok so ive updated my company and had a few games, some go well and some don't. This is an example, of another game i played and got rolled, any tips and advice would be nice. I guess I just need some more playing tips, I think i got the company build down. Biggest problem I am having is with offmaps ( captain/ howie/ all airborne ones) and airborne with the funky 3x nade insta gib HS mg ability, whats the cost on that anyways?? cause it kinda negates a lot of my t4 Sad )

http://www.filefront.com/16790729/EuropeInRuinsBattle.sga

http://www.filefront.com/16790749/offmaprape.rec.rec

Here is my new company:

5 Mg's
1 mortar
1 sniper
1 nebel
2 bikes
1 shwimwaggon
3 flammens
9 grens
3 volks
2 p4's
2 paks
3 geshutz

My start is 2 mg's, 1 gren squad with 1 geshutz, 1 mortar and the schwim. I tried the multi start thing but my call in timers got huge too fast.

any more help would be great, im really looking to get better.

Im going to be starting an allied AB company soon too so ill post how that goes in this thread also.
