paintball sucks so hard compared to airsoft...

you usually feel the hit or hear it,even though if you wear bunch of stuff,like ciras ...and are under adrenaline,it's possiable not to detect hit...

I do paintball from time to time. Airsoft Would be too easy/not enough real feel to me. I need to at least feel the weapon I'm holding and know when my enemy is hit he feels it to.

Ultimately i love the Force on Force stuff the Military does. We use a brand called Simunition here in Canada.

Something like 550-600fps
Fires like a normal round(strikes a primer)
Leaves heavy bruising, welts, or cuts.

It can draw blood sometimes depending on the angle of the hit or the area it strikes. It hurts like a mother fucker so you never want to get hit again. You also know when someone is hit as they usually flail/make alot of noise

you do cqb with 600fps,or do you have some minimal shooting distance for that's speeds?

It's got a price tag to it. It's Military grade. Not to mention it counts as a firearm and the appropriate licenses/ location to use it are required. All things considered it's a bargain for training

With all respect i start that thread about airsoft There is a lot of stuff which i cant get because  stupid russian laws, airsoft is a best i can get to simulate gunfire contact in russia without casualties or law problems. and i just want to know is how u play airsoft. thx

I wanted to look around for some AS clubs, but the FPS limit here in germany really breaks it for me. 1 Joule max on AEGs - on semi auto. 

I can't be arsed to drive all the way to austria tbh. Some time later I'll probably join some WWII reenactment club. There are some really nice events in the netherlands etc.

And your badassery is determined by what little armor or cover you wear, but always wear eye protection, people loose eyes in this game...

I play paintball mainly because I don't trust people to be honest.

But, what I really want to play with is the knew training stuff that SWAT uses, simunition(I see someone already mentioned it), its basically a paintball round but it shoots like a real bullet with casing and stuff. Vests and stuff would be a must and it would probably be best to wear a paintball mask. I believe this would/should be the new paintball. You can use real guns but just put this stuff in em'.

Meh, airsoft never did it for me because you have to play it like your using real guns.

It will never be more then a recreational hobby.

Now paintball, Ive won money playing paintball. Cash money prizes, back when I was swinging and had no school expenses.




Skill is everything, and there's nothing like doing a run through, getting to their back corner and stabbing the last guy in the back with your barrel cause your that fucking good; then running back to your bewildered teammates to say "dont worry guys, i got this one, fuckin hang that rag."

Never has any gun-type activity been so close to becoming a recognizable professional sport.
Ive fuckin been on ESPN2, lol and im nobody. Fuck i miss it. Goddammit school costs so much!

There's already a sport with guns, it's called War. The rules aren't very well-standardized, though.

I got two Airsoft guns that shoot just under 400 fps, whats 1 joule

I play airsoft, I hate the way the Paintball guns look, and that they just wear black clothing and yell at each other endlessly.  Airsoft is about tactics and simulations.  I'm running a CQB dense forest game in the lower mainland of vancouver tomorrow night

The pellets tend to mass around .5g, so, (1/2)(.0005kg) * (Vm/s)^2 = 1

Which gives us V(m/s) = root(4000) or roughly 60 meters/second (200 fps).

Assuming that the joule is referring to the standard energy joule, and that this limit is imposed on the muzzle energy of the weapon.


EDIT - A quick perusal of Wikipedia lists the maximum legal muzzle-energy of an airsoft gun in the US to 1.35 Joules, giving Germany a touch under a third less. If you took your gun to Germany, Salan, assuming it was the maximum power it could be in the US, it would then shoot at around 300 fps.
