It sucks, timer and smoke make it useless. Revert to it having no delay and no smoke.

no delay and no smoke make's it OP. Timer and smoke at least makes it able to be dodged, like any other off map.

Nearly every other offmap has a spread so it has a chance to still hit, all they do to dodge a strafe is walk left a tiny bit.

I find two to be half right on this. (although its not gonna change)

without a proper retreat mechanic in EIRR, strafe cant be what it is in retail.

delay is fine imo, but it should not have the big 3 flair "arty incomming" flairs.

it is too easy to dodge b/c its directional.

The most they should get for warning is a single green flair and some audio signal, and even the audio signal is pushing it.

AB players get only two, and they are expensive and sometimes they're the only things keeping the expensive, high availability airborne from getting toasted by flame pios or assault infantry.

Yes and Strafe is the ultimate Jeep because it can one shoot Snipers in most cases. If sniper's not dead you can easily kill it afterwards as its pinned and low healthed.

There's a delay? Jesus H Christ, I thought it was a insta-use ability, I've always felt this ability was one of the more op abilitys. Its ability to kill or at least suppress units makes me sad Sad
This could be very un-justified, but I seriously do think they need to make the time that it comes onto the field a little longer. I can see this being shot down but meh, I've never really complained about anything but this one is one of the more grr abilitys for me. Meh, that's my 2 pennys on this.

I think its OP, I think you should be forced to buy more quads if your having problems with assault infantry. Not always just *Strafe* oh they are pinned they dead now.

You have a max of 2 or 3 strafes, if that costs the axis games then their doing it wrong.

At most for me they wipe out 2 squads. Thats 2 usualy fully upgraded squads from a offmap, which cost nothing. My henshel run doesnt even kill half a tank on its best hits.

Yeah, I usually lose two squads using it, Either through Dying or being suppressed beyond recovery and its usually my best units, or at the time of the strafing, the most NEEDED units which in this game, for me is a big deal :<

What I find the most ironic really with this skill is its a BRILLIANT blob killer., And some (most?) of the AB players blob like a MotherF***er...
I wonder what the meta-game would be like if they allowed the LuffWaffe doctrine to get a strafing run too (most fitting on the Axis side). Would be interesting in my eyes Smiley

Strafe and bombing run are both so much more effective than henschel runs its laughable.  Anyways, strafe right now is fine...its dodgeable if you move instantly, but usually gets the job done.  It shouldn't be able to just rape PE like it does in retail...

Oh dont you worry bout me sweetheart, im actually good enough to where I dont have to plead to the devs to buff my army.

but yeah i like having a safety net for when my quads get alpha striked by double 50mm HTs.

Obiously you do if your saying it shouldnt have smoke. Most if not all 2v2s it comes down instantly.

What would be the time on them?
Is there any difference based on the map scale / number of players?
Or is it only a different viewpoint?

I remeber that this precise strafing run was changed for a really good reason? Or does no one here remeber the abuse it caused back in 0.06? If the smoke/delay is reasonable, and comparable to any other arty, well I don't have a problem with it.

1. Don't know tbh.
2. Yes, basically, the longer the map (or wider if you coming ACROSS the map) the longer it takes to be used since it needs to come from the closest map side to it and travel across the map to use, but the plane is pretty big anyway so its not THAT big of a deal, but there is a difference depending on map size Smiley
