Actually, would it be possible to make the holding zone into a "captured" zone. For example, if you steal a .30 or a 57mm as PE, could you have it in your company? (of course, with the price and all?)

Other than being hlarious - its a bitch to balance.

EVERY capturable unit would need to be balanced as if available to ALL other factions.

Not worth the effort, and definitely not worth the return.

That would be so effin awesome, german soldiers picked up russian PPsh as other enemies captured any other weapon..

You can cap mg, atg
but no nebel, 88, 105, emplacements, mortar
normal soldiers can use the weapons list on the 1st sentence.
but not every one knows how to use a 88
poor mathematics makes the soldiers know nothing about indirect firing weapons

While this worked, often once the weapon had been used in battle it was discarded as ammo always easy to come by

Pretty much what I meant, except without maybe the arty, as it could indeed be a balance issue. For the others, I suggest the unit is put into the "holding zone" and can be bought at the other's side price. That way, there would be no imbalance, as the price would be the same, right?

maybe if u have captured support weapons of your own team that you can already buy in the launcher you can keep them for vet. but nothing else.
and even though this might be a nice feature, its a lot of work.
