Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

You might also find that some games work faster on it, because of memory leaks on XP. It's like Vista, only good.

I went from XP to Win 7 and I have enjoyed every bit of Windows 7.  The only thing that I have had any type of problems with is getting the regular colors for Starcraft since Windows 7 distorts the colors.  A small price to pay for such a great operating system, imo.

the main thing pretty much forcing me to go to windows 7 for the next computer i have is DirectX11 graphics.  It makes DirectX9 look old, which it pretty much is now.

Windows 7 is better than either XP or Vista almost unanimously from what I've heard - it has better performance in most applications, its 64 bit version is much more stable than XP's, really it's just all around better. But you do require a decent PC to take advantage of some of its features, so don't upgrade to windows 7 if you can barely play CoH as it is.

Definitely need a PC that can handle it before you go installing it. I probably wouldn't run it on my old desktop, but my new laptop can more than handle it.

I have never had a single problem with Windows 7, even though my computer really isn't great. I would highly recommend it.

I don't have any issues with W7, but if I already had XP I don't think I'd spent the money to upgrade. There are some useful features and it is overall better, but I'd rather spend the money on a few games.

sounds good. i probably wont upgrade and will just have a dual boot i installed it on my other hd last night but am having issues getting them to recognize each other lol but it sounds good and i would like to see DX11 in action. I"ve got a pretty good computer.

amd athlon 64 x2 dual score 4800
2 GB Ram
HDD #1 1TB (main with xp)
HDD #2 160 GB
geforce 9600 gtx 512mb

so i think i'm good on running xp. i could run eirr on full online and not have any lag now that i've got a clean system.

if you're referring to COH crashing, that error basically means turn your gfx down.

Yup, windows 7 requires half of your pc i'd say - Im enjoying XP agian.
The reason i went 7 is because as others say, the interface is really pretty and you'll miss windows 7 "features" but sucks for gaming if you have a pretty Standard pc which is like mine..

Windows 7 uses the free resources your PC has when nothing else needs them, unlike Xp.
