I don't mean the proper one that's coming but the one of the left of the homepage (with all the details of how many are on ect)
I've noticed that the "active" map is actually rotating through a couple maps. So, is the system actually working in some primitive form? And if it is, what are the benefits of playing the active map?
Or is it kind of a place holder for now, to make the mod look more awesome

It used to be the map over there gave bonus PPs and XP for playing on it. Also in the past there used to be a "Territory" slider so you could see which side was winning.

So I take it from the wording that it doesn't give pp/exp anymore? Shame
And yeah, I actually kind of remember a terroritory thing, although, that was back when I had to use the browser to make companies

Should still be giving bonus XP/PP for that map, we havn't removed that functionality as far as i know(unless while  was Away) the active map should be 150% value and the maps above/below it should be 125% value. Of course as the launcher has no support for it currently you can't actually see the map above and below the active map.

That particular bit works, but you dont see how far the 'takeover' is, or the maps on each side.
There used to be a whole page set aside for it.

I played RTC today and I only got 15 pps.  Then I played on a different 2v2 map and I still get 15 pps.
