In-depth explanation of clipping.

When a weapon fires, it can do two things :
1) Roll a hit - and then the projectile will follow the target to the edges of the world. It'll bend over corners, it'll do 180 degree turns, it'll fly through hedges, tanks and buildings - but it WILL reach the target.

2) Roll a miss - then the projectile just flies in the trajectory the engine decided to give it until it hits something that it can clip with. Basically, being able to clip a target means being able to hit a target despite originally rolling a miss against it. If a target is set not to clip with a projectile (for instance - RRs vs Puma) - then you notice the effect of "phase armour" - where the projectile flies happily through, like it were just some thin air. If it clips (57mm vs Panzer IV) - then the projectile hits and damages the target like it would have normally, had it rolled a hit from the get go.

then this seems like a very very good change for RRs vs. MGs and mortars.

alright, haha fine by me. Sounds like a great fix. Wonder if we can get a dev in here to comment? Cheesy
I can change it.
Except I'm not going do it unless Bob, EIRRMod  or someone high up give the okay. (I can change a lot of stuff, but I'm not going to do it unless someone high up give the go ahead)

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly overhead. -- RFC 1925

1 puma is quite enough to beat 1 squad of Airborne, thank you Vertiggo.

1 3 popcap MG scout car is also quite sufficient at this job.

True, but it's completely situational. In green cover, the AB very well could escape barely hurt.

The exact reason why you would allow the airborne to get into heavy cover is beyond me.
