Can somebody give me some tips on using this thing? From what ive seen its pretty good on roads, but its accuracy is utter shit, so to me it seems useless. Also, I remember reading somewhere it outranges the firefly.. from my experience it sucks against the firefly the most due to its accuracy. Rapid fire shots are like 1% faster than normal shots..

I'm running a lot of grens atm, and the geshutz seems to fit in, due to its no muni cost, which leaves me muni to give my grens upgrades. However, I cannot use this thing effectively at all yet.

Now about the ambulance.. it just seems so useless, yes it saves medkits, yes it acts as a transport, but it requires so much attention to use it well, that its hard to micro in other places. Any advice on using this thing would be helpful also.

Thank you.

The Geshutzewagen uses the same gun as the Marder III, so if you have bad luck with Marders I guess it counts to the Gwagon as well.

The Ambulance is perfect for KCH really, but it should work for Grens too. When you disengage from a fire fight, just loaded your infantry in it and then where ever there is a next fight you just drive over there and drop them there. Don't worry its actually pretty tough.

Why don't you post up a replay using these units and then we might be able to help more.

Think of the ambulance as a transport vehicle. So you can quickly drop your infantry where there needed. The Health regen is just a bonus!

So everytime there is a lul in combat. throw your infantry in the ambulance, and redeploy them where there needed. saves time walking and they regen.

Rapid fire cuts their reload in half, I've raped a sherman charging me head on with an unsupported Geschutzwagen that had rapid fire. They really aren't that bad.

Thanks! Also more questions, can geshutz fire on the move? and can you cap with the ambulance truck, with squads in it? Also is it possible to make it so your squads are inside the ambulance when they are called in? like a halftrack where you choose 1 for your squads to be inside the HT

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

The gwagon's rapid fire in eirr is not as awesome as it was in vanilla. In Vanilla the Gwagon had the ungodly damage and the rapid fire made it a death machine. The quick reload just isn't as awesome with the Marder gun, and you have to spend munition on the ability as well.

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly overhead. -- RFC 1925

Always make sure your target is not in the Fog of War and your accuracy will go up considerably, inf or a cloaked sniper are good for this. Im pretty sure both it, FF and marder 3 have the same range and rapid fire is amazing and can save your ass just remember to try to always keep it at max range

Practice makes perfect

As said already, it heals units and thats a good thing. Its pretty quick and can be used as a good transport, one of the bes usages i have seen so far was to take damaged units in and heal them, and while they were healing back cap my team and finally when we caught up to the damn thing they were all healed and outside waiting for us and the ambulence was well on its way back to the front to heal some other stuff

Thank you.

ive started using the ambulance way more effectively now, i have 2 in my company now Cheesy

and the geshutz owns, puts terror into tanks if 1 shot hits, however if the first misses, which happens a lot, the enemy just rushes it, and rapid fire is pretty amazing, i took out a sherman, quad, and firefly with one geshutz in a game once, was so beautiful  Cheesy

Regarless of everything else I put in this post, I find the Gwagon to be an amazing tool of destruction inside my company. I find its costs to be an accurate value of how effective it is, and it to be a pretty well balanced unit.

Only concern I have is that it does indeed have the Marder gun. Why was it given this gun in the first place, and why couldn't it be returned to its original gun, and have its cost reflect that?

(I friggin love this unit though. I've had multiple of these walk away from a battle with more than 15 inf kills and 3+ heavy armor kills, paying its cost back multiple times.)

^ wow then 250 is crazy damage, i had never used it in vCOH though

geshutzwagen's accuracy still bugs me, it results in missing important shots

and ive noticed its pathing is kind of retarded, lets say you order it to attack a tank, when it reaches the point it can shoot from, it kind of bounces back.. and rebounds then shoots, idk if you guys get it its hard to explain

I know what you mean, It's been happening alot lately on other tanks. even when I'm not using attack orders and just move commands my M10's and other tanks just seem to abruptly reverse without any deceleration just 100% forwards to 100% backwards and then 100% forwards again

Most Vehicles do that actually for some reason. Through for units like Marder and Geshutzewagon it is more noticeable due to its crappy pathfinding.
