Please help!
It seems that even if I click the shortcut to EuropeinRuins on my desktop Steam launches RelicCOH.exe and not EuropeInRuinsMod.exe and hence starting vanilla COH.
Do I need any launch options for the app in steam? Please help!

Hmm... I don't have the version on steam... See if EuropeInRuinsMod.exe exists on your hard drive...

Try running it by itself and see what happens...

It does not work. Steam automatically starts when starting either reliccoh.exe or europeinruinsmod.exe.

That's a problem... There has got to be a way to launch COH without launching steam right?

There isn't. I bet the steam version of the game executable is modified to require steam running.

I've tried everything. If steam is running and I click the EIR shortcut on desktop, what happens is that steam brings up a pop-up saying "Preparing to launch Company of Heroes". Then the game starts. And when signed in and I host a game, I can't select Win Condition "Europe In Ruins" so thats why I know it is vanilla CoH running.

» Start Steam » Click on Games » Right click on Company of Heroes, select Properties » Click on Launch Options » Add the parameters -dev -modname EuropeInRuins

Actually, this info should be in some FAQ or some info thread, if it isn't already. Could come in handy for more people.
