I played Rackham French. French is usually the best pvp nation cause you get more targets. I like playing the lowest pop nation on a game like that. But yea unless i figure out how to play without downloading, it won't happen.

Servers have all been consolidated into Roberts and Antiqua, so there's no lack of players to hunt down.

Its much more polished now I think. I played at release so I think i can accurately compare between then and now.

Fighting is streamlined. Smooth, alot of stuff happens really fast. I cant comment on the intracicies of it yet cause ive only played 5ish minutes today.

Until some game breaking stupid shit convinces me otherwise, I'm gonna give POTBS a try again. I've already started getting my shit back in order and have money so if you guys want to level easier, come to or switch to Antigua French and I'll power level you and show you the mechanics. I almost exclusively play open sea PvP, which requires fast ships and very well planned escape routes so if that's the type of thing you want to do, team up with me. It's the hardest way to play cause you need to have a good understanding of each ship variant's running/broad/beam/close haul speeds. I'm working on an excel sheet of that right now. I do port battles (i did one last night, turned out well) but like i said, i mostly hunt people where they don't expect it.

BlackProphecy has been on radar awhile, but I still don't know if they let you command capital ships or its just going to be another silly space game where everyone is in fighters, can't stand those.

On the Pirates game, interesting they made it free, cause it sucked too much to actually pay money for.  I'll join you guys once my move is done (currently using a wireless receiver) around the 8th of December, at which point I can download the client and join you guys.  But really Spain? British would have been loads better ^^

I'll have to do Antigua, I tried Roberts because everyone was on it and the Lag was so terrible. I was smashing my turn keys and my ship just kept going straight for like 5 mins, then suddenly I was beached beside a fort couldn't turn and had the entire length of my ship in his broadside. I tried it for about 20 mins and it was just lag interspersed with the occasional catchup action where I'd suddenly be in a new setting getting stuck or shot.

Also anywhere you can see your ping/Packetloss in game?
