Welcome to Canada. The praries routuinely get to -50 in the winter.
Parts of Northern ontario get to -55 and still see huge dumpings of snow.
The Territory of Yukon hit -65 celsius once. Thats 'like' near instant shutdown of body function
When I spent a winter in Alberta working oil the temperaure outside ranged through the season from +5 to -50.
I worked otuside in night in a t-shirt one night when it was -40 outside because our Flare stack was burning so hot everything nearby had melted.

These are some pretty interesting "facts" burn. http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/climate/globalextremes.html-63 C (-81.4 F) was the coldest temperature EVER recorded in Canada and that was in 1947. Not even Antarctica gets down to -90 C, the record being -89.4 C (-129 F) in 1983. |

I live 45 minutes from Big white..... Rare to see -20 around here. If we do, it's only for a couple of days or so. |
