The ones Australia are getting we've had nothing but problems and delays with.
Sure jsf are nice with low radar silhouettes and vtol but there's nothing wrong with our
F/A 18 super hornets which are superior to the F35s in so many ways.
Payload speed offensive capabilities maintenance etc

JSF's useless? I though they were good, they have stealth capabilities and verticle takeoff. England sold it's Harriers and all but one of it's Aircraft carriers cos in a few years we are getting a super carrier and lots of JSF's.
England selling off it's Harriers and going for the JSF's has utterly nothing to do with aircraft performance. If anything, selling off our Harriers was one of our more idiotic military moves in recent history. Hell, there was shit all wrong with the Harriers, and most of them had recently undergone refits. Politicians decided the fate of the Harriers, not the Military. Shit, they just wanted to cut back 1 billion in defence cuts. JSF's are expensive to all hell in comparison to keeping the Harrier fleet in one piece. Due to this idiocy, we're stuck without a carrier launched jet until the JSF's finally arrive, assuming more political BS doesn't shoot that down. |
