is probs only me.
currently i find useless with all the atg spam and m10 spam where 2 m10 make an easy meal of it...

even the pershing seems to have less trouble with it which is debateble
with all this spam going on panther have become too expenive as a AT unit as it is till needed to kill the upgun sherman ups over the p4. only problem is it is now almost a waste as any sign of anything heavier than a panther seems to get locked down by a spam of atg or m10 rush, and atm seems to have no hope, which i find hard as no matter the situation or amount of mircro u end up on the back foot or loosing it without it having too much effect.

just want to get some feedback from other payers.

Panther is a high pop unit. It dominates almost everything in both long range and slugger exchange. So it's more of a lategame thing which sometimes makes it frustrating to have in your company, because you know you can't really support it before a certain point and vehicles and tanks might have caused you a lot of problems from the first minute of the game.

At 15 pop and as wehr, you can fit in a lot of double or single shrek squads which are the bane of m10s. There's no way m10s can fire on panthers without either being in range of the panther itself or shreks. Since this tight composition will be a valuable target for artillery you need to combine and disperse through your own prediction.

I find snipers invaluable for taking out at guns, but they are squishy and allies have the means to kill it. But at 40 pop you could fit in a sniper, a halftrack and some shrek grens with a panther.

Just a suggestion, personally I wouldn't engage a panther that had shreks around it with m10s , and there are plenty of ways to piss off or disable at guns from firing at you.

Shreks are usually better support for panthers than paks.

true i am just finding it harder to use my panthers atm, i used to be able to use them causing high amount of damage in most games, as well as getting them vetted up very easily.

i used to run double panther companies with no trouble i am just finding even with that all these new doctrines for allies are making it hard to find the AI counter and i am using less shrecks in exchange to try and counter the swarms of riflemen, which really atm seems to be one of the better strats for players.

I just hate this unit, lol, they can do very nice job if u properly micro them, but since it's such a big resource investment,if u rly arent very good with them,it hurts quite a bit,and it probably wont make it's cost back.

Kill 2 shermans, and the Panther paid off for itself. Hardly a hard thing to do.

except the 2 sherman are killing infantry and vehicles while the panther is sitting around and eating pop when no tanks are around

same to smart people who are using their shermans behind/next to ATguns

but according to panther i'll used it sometimes in wehr company but i never use it as PE because i need the fuel for the pe vehicles

and i never understood why a panther is almost as expensive as a pershing

It's good on Wehr if you don't want to sink munitions into too many tanks, like most blitz companies would. I use one, I find it's good for kiting Pershings with a bike or sniper for sight. It's got a huge amount of HP too.

i guess why the panther is almost the same price as pershing is coz panther is no doctrine unit and pershing is.

if you compare pershing to panther:

speed: panther is 4% faster
acceleration: panther is 25% faster
armour: about the same?
health: pershing has 250 more
gun: pershing's splash makes it superior vs inf compared to panther, but panther has 7.5 extra range

I dont use panthers, but I am mainly a PE player at the moment

I used to but they can be very crappy, and are just too terrible vs infantry.

panther always hit already anyways.

Only applies to tanks... when the enemy has loads of light vehicles an accuracy buff is completely necessary.

EDIT: Maybe it doesn't apply to them either... Just found that out. Battled cromwell spam and it missed nearly a dozen shots. Point blank range next to crom cmd tank, neither moving. Four misses in a row. Not balanced, and not worth 500 fuel...

Honestly I think I'm done trying to use them until somebody wakes up and gives them a reason (same with firefly vs. PE discussion). The basic tanks have been mostly nerfed and now there are so many gimmicks and new uber weapons they aren't used anymore. Look at the leaderboard. I swear in the old days there was at least ONE vet 3 panther in existence...

I just got my ass handed by shockcoil and another guy, and they played amazingly well, but the panther performed like shit. In the replay I counted about 6 hits and 6 misses for the part where the enemy only had cromwells. 50/50 just doesn't cut it for an expensive weapon that has only one job in life...
