this is awesome. If my legalize in these matters is right, he can use them as long as he's not making a profit from it. Yes they can ask him to stop but i dont know how much legal justification they've got in telling him not to do it. same if omg steals and eir:r model etc it's not a sold product and isn't under any type of copyright or trademark so it may be intellectual property but because it's made on another company's property, in a way Relic owns it.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

But like I said, if it's extracted, modified, and imported into Relic's format, how is anyone to know let alone prove it wasn't just made by any of us? If you're only copying the "specs" of the object, it's not even really a controllable thing, since it's really just a shrunk down version of an actual vehicle...

You can bust it in 3Ds max or any other 3d software.

Clever modelers will leave a specific mark on the model that is so insignificant its clever. Like the exact posistion (y, x, z)of a vertex in a mesh.

Then again you just genrelly know wether the model was stolen or not. If a guy says no word about how he came out with 20 diffrent tank models and not really any explanation then you know.

So 3ds max file, .RGM pretty much.
