well,I always did find them a bit expensive,didnt know that they can move around and just heal themself up for free
seems they are quite worth after all...

That's their only redeeming quality. If that mechanic was not in place there would be no healing them at all because the crew builds the gun with the emplacement, it's not a separate entity. Emplacement armor is just wonky and the packup/heal is just a work around for emplacement's inability to function as a useful company asset.
Alright, pointless to talk about it more. Emplacements will be reworked soon because they do not fit in here.

Seems like Royaldodge almost copied my previous Royal Engineer company build with 17Pdrs and AVRE's rofl.
Either way 17Pdrs have the range of 57mm. Immobile until they can move (30 seconds) and the placement will be inactive for that 30 seconds of packing.

It'd be interesting to see how baalnced it would be if 17lbers were redone to act like Pak 40s, I think.
