Well, the other thread got sent into a little discussion so here's my suggestion for possible fixes for HE rounds, here's the direct quote from myself:

Or, keep it the way it is, and throw a 100 munition cost on it. You want two double repair HE Pershings? You've just paid 580 munitions - it SHOULD be something impressive.

just make it exactly the same as the IST inc bomb. you fire one HE and it reloads 120 seconds. done

on that note; I think we should make battle hardened on a timed ability. Maybe a 120 second CD, with 10-20 second duration where grens get elite armor.

pqumsieh, i don't see elite armour grens taking 3 sniper shots in the face, which is the equivalent of the OPness of HE rounds, so please hopoff mah nuts.

i agree 100% with demon, both HVAP AND HE should be a button use. Just like the flame ist round for HE, click, choose a point, it fires, same cooldown as flame round. and for HVAPit should be a click, and a duration when it fires the HVAP rounds just like the AP rounds.

HVAP is fine as it stands tbh, you get better penetration and a reduction in splash. No need to fix what is not broken on that one.

HE rounds "Needs" the leash due to it's alpha strike capability.

but hang on, what else buffs are in HE rounds. its a T4, if you put a leash on HE rounds there must be better buffs going along with that

That's not particularly assuring - regardless of how much merit what your "Deciding" on has.

Oh and Rifle, flame IST rounds is a T3. Urban Survival Kits is a T4.

And another thing, apparently the HVAP splash reduction was unintended, and was actually a bug. Either way, reduced splash or normal splash, HVAP rounds have nothing on the HE Rounds alpha strike capability. The most you can expect from HVAP rounds is one less round to drop a hard target.

So are you going to be making it a tier 3 as well then?

Also, if you take HE rounds you lose the ability to reliably take on P4's with your Shermans, and forget about even attempting to take on a non-completely distracted StuG

what are you talking about? they need it to reliably take on P4's...? atm sherman upgun > P4... and if u want to make them better get HVAP? with that urban survival kit they get -12% recieved damage... :S.

Its a T4

Ist rounds is a T3+ Inc hummel barrage

If it mimicks inc bombs and stil a T4 then i needs more in the doctrine. its a t4

As i, like anyone else, cannot remember every doctrine of by heart, and must check in EIRR. i asked the question what else does it buff. a simple question that can be easily answered by someone else checking what in the T4 which i, and anyone else who doesnt have the chance to check for themselves to explain here, thus making a better decision on what to do with the rest of the doctrine. See this thread is about one particular ability, HE rounds, i know that theres more buffs in the T4 but i cant remember them off by heart. but as this thread is focused on one particular ability i am only inclined to know that particular ability thus i am equiped to make a formal judgement on that said ability which gives me the right to post in this thread. Attempt to dis-credit failed

Honestly, please think before you speak, so i will take it slowly.

In order to use HE rounds you must NOT upgun the M4 as it removes the HE ability from the tank.

By deciding to use HE rounds you are denying the M4 the ability to reliably take on p4's and StuGs but gain considerable power against infantry.

If you want to take on P4's and Stug's again you need to upgun taking away your HE rounds.

Thus HE rounds on M4's are balanced.

M8/T17 Gain
-15% penetration
+50Hp's
Criticals From Vehicle Class to Tank Class
Sherman Smoke on Recharge.

soo if you took out the HE rounds and made that a T3 unlock i would replace calling it in for it.
Maybe a accuracy bonus for all tanks and Crit bonus?

its not effective vs p4 with HE, that was my point.

Hence why i was saying M4 HE was balanced
