I've seen an AVRE shell land near a building, and the splash insta killed everyone inside. Intended? Or is it the same bug the nebel had?
the AVRE has been that way since OF beta.

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly overhead. -- RFC 1925

^ the only way to fix that is to remove the spalsh totally, reduce the splash, or make buildings almost in a sense impassable by explosives and such so your soldiers inside the building couldnt get hurt by anything happening outside.

That would make the AVRE useless as fuck.
srsly removeing the spash or lowering it would just make people place all their units behind a 1cm high Brick wall and they would be unscaved from the hit and yes i have allready seen units when i have been using the AVRE and there were some units behind a wooden fence and been ok after the hit that landed ontop of them.

Well no 8thRifle. We could change the building damage type. and that would remove it form the Nebel. The AVRE would still kill people in buildings because it does 500 damage.

Alternatively we could change the number of people that die from the building panel destruction from 8 to something lower, so full squads don't die but the player would effectively still have to remove them from play.(say changing 8 into 4)

This gives the added benefit of if an Allied player captures a Nebelwerfer they would be able to kill full axis squads.

I wasn't saying it was BS or anything, I was just curious. AVREs don't seem like an issue to me.

Neither to me. Except in the most extreme cases where you barely touch a structure and everyone dies
