Why is there no movement penalty like the ist?

no wait...mech support gives it 20% speed bonus, so not only does it lock down, it moves faster.

then also, theres no end action for normal marder lock down so its quite possible that the buffs are stacking!

so you gets 30% + 30% sight, 10% + 10% damage, 35% + 35% penetration, 25% + 25% reload

Also on the same tree, why is mech support and stalingrad vets in the same tree? wasn't there supposed to be no double buffing in the same tree? Well all infantry in IHT's get 20% accuracy and -20% cooldown and reload while they're in halftracks.

Oh...then marders get 15% acc from the t3.

Marder 3 does not get any speed Buffs. It's not a tank. the other stuff Applies and I'm checking into if the bonus stacks on lockdown.(does Mech support grey out lockdown?)

The one concession I would make, as 8thRifle pointed out is that the Munitions HT stacked rather nicely with Infantry Halftracks

So does that become 1:15s with a Defensive player? or do we just use the higher value in that case?

I tried Inf hts + Muni ht inf, not that impressive because it's so situational. Also there is no marder lockdown button with it

it seems to give a speed buff and i dont think it greys out lockdown as there's no rgd telling it not to be enabled anymore but i dont play with it and those who abuse it def wont come in here and confirm.

as for the speed. it just seems like it hits top speed immediately. It really should have a speed penalty if it's going to be able to move.

Just to reiterate, with the T4 you gain the following passive buffs:

+10.5 sight
-25% reload
+10% damage
-35% received accuracy
-15% reload (aura buff from munitions half-track)

Add to that vet and an on slaw of other very valuable buffs and you have an amazing tree. Some might argue the tree is a bit over the top, I would subscribe to that view.

Bottom line, you effectively take away the weakness of lockdown which significantly limited its use in typical game play. Marders are far more difficult to flank with a no penalty lockdown (i.e. no timer or entering/leaving lockdown) which ultimately provides a similar issue to that of the old P4 IST. I am strongly in support of a speed penalty on this or its complete removal. The T4 would still be a strong choice without it.

thats a lie

you gain the buff that you move while "lockdown" thats it
the other things has every normal marder

I do believe we'll be looking at this T4 in a near future. Personally, I'd much rather see marders being able to fire on the move rather than them (as the only AT option in the T4) getting such a massive buff.

that actually sounds like a good trade, replace lock down buff with being able to fire on the move, that will work alot better and not be so OP.

Several players use the moving lockdown to great effect, and multiple marders with mobile lockdown will outflank or plain outsnipe an ATG--the only hard counter the allies have. Add in the fact that I think this comes with TH, which means stummels, and its...odd. Muni hts get MGs too, which is also a bit much. Handheld AT gets shredded by stummels or buffed IHT clowncars, tanks get marder'd, and TDs are usually out DPSd with the stacking bonuses (1 shot brought a full health sherman to 1/2 HP, so Im damn well sure that they stack) or just reversed or kited to death. 2+ mobile marder locks will literally negate all of the fuel in your company. Even fireflys arent safe if there are multiple marders or multiple PLAYERs with this t4, with multiple marders on-field. Im for the removal of moving lockdown, its just too much. Leave mobile lock with the SE IST, end, done. Give muni hts the MG, but only with the t4 and a purchased upgrade..

do you ever use paragraphs volksy...

anyway, firing on the move is fine, moving lock down is not.

and get rid of the stummel, it's out of place in TH.

I don't think you guys understand what Firing on the move will allow marders to do.

think it over.

its what they're doing now with moving lockdown...and its no where near as good so as a concession, i'd be fine with it. If it proves OP then scrap it all together, the T4 is fine without it.

I'm going to break down the Pro's and Cons here.

Moving Lockdown Pro's.
- Lockdown buffs of: Damage, reload and Penetration
- No need to worry about Lockdown cooldown(keeping you in place)

Moving Lockdown Con's.
- No buff of 0.65 Rec. Accuracy
- No Bonus of Sight +30%

It's actually quite a heavy sacrifice right now(the 0.65 Rec. Accuracy goes a long way to staying alive)

You're suggestion Moving while firing, which would allow Marders to kite enemy tanks from 15+ Range and beyond. It's quite a difference.
