You need java and you need to have all the other .dll and .jar files in the same folder for the game to be able to start.

I listened to a podcast, they go on about how they only last 3 minutes.... i think my 10th run through (of having the same thing happen to me) i lasted an hour, ans by lasted i mean i became bored because i explored the whole area, in every building apartment block, everything.
