All assault type abilities are bugged, AW, Assault, incin assault. It's bugged, the devs know it, players know it. It's an annoying ability that can at times be ridiculously OP since they also get incoming fire buffs while using it. I say all assault type abilities should be disabled until fixed because while it's broken and available to buy, all assault type abilities will be abused by someone unless the devs decide they want to punish players for abuse.

exactly what is broken?  i haven't seen anyone abuse anything.

Also Tym i don't remember allies having anything disabled because there was a bug, if there is anything, just wait for a patch.

I don't see anything wrong in assault. You use it, you lose control of your squad. Should there be no decreases in accuracy etc the squad using said assault would die faster than one can chew on a piece of bread.

lol decreased acc according to him is a bug? Which was like forever and no one had a problem with this and now this is bad?
Assault already was nerfed Tym, it  does not suppress on hit.

Seriously Tym, when i play on allies i never had a problem with assault, even when it was stronger xxx number of patches ago.

i said assault type abilities, did you not see i included Assymetic Warfare? Devs even said Assault itself is broken, meaning anything that uses it.

I haven't seen any problems with assault, you move and they miss, it seems pretty simple. Could you submit a video or something so we can see?

The only problem with assault that is remaining is that essentially the unit throws nades (or in the case of AW) fires zooks until the unit is dead. Yes you lose control of the squad but the problem lies in that people who build suicide companies around this concept do not care and will gladly assault everything you got until you cannot fight back and your only option is to run.

Assault is not broken but it is poorly designed. The only solution I see at the moment is giving the ability a timer to run on, when the timer runs out, ability is over.

Don't they throw 2 or 3 volley of nades? I'm sure they are not following unit untill they are dead.

From what I remember during the internal discussions of Assault, this change was made only to Blitz assault and Incd. assault. I can tell you though that the conditions to for a volley to actually "count" are kind of vauge. I deff. know that this change is not built into Asymetric warfare.

From what I understand, were you to be assaulted, and just "stand there" to let the vollies be thrown, the Assault squad will throw 3 volleys and then if your unit is still alive (it will not be) then it stops.

If you keep on running away and the nades miss then I do not think that the volleys register. Idk, maybe Leo will stop by and tell us how it all works.

No, afaik, there is no timer on this ability.
