why just not make em cool, have them be able to name their units, maybe also be able to select skin color etc. stuff like that that doesnt break gameplay, but makes units cool in various ways, thus, more people want to play it.

which benefits? making one side op because most people don't like it?
No. Like in MMOs - higher 'drop' rates etc for the lesser pop faction, other mechanics like that.
In all honesty, incentives will not make people play a side they do not like, nor feel boring.

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

The benefits for playing the lower pop faction will need to balance this then.
*shrug*
isnt it the thing that u just have to make the allies more interesting as they are atm, they dont need overpowered AB but just a few changes to make getting vet as an example easier (m10 shermans are really craptanks and dont survive a lot of games)

Also, bad analogy ground, My vegetables never pissed on my ego when I decided they defeated me and gave up on dessert.

Then you need to l2p because sherman is better than p4 and m10 is one of best units vs other tanks and vehs.

sherman survives alot with its hp and armor.
m10 dies fast but you kite other tanks without range and circle the turretless ones making them not being able to shoot at you = no hp loss.
you can vet m10 even easier than sherman.

you will get more bang for the buck from your m10 if you dont baby sit it,and retreat when you are on 1/3 of your healt,if you have vet3 one, naturally you want to save it,thus cant accomplish full potential of it. it's great tank, and infantry killer, fragile, but considering the price, easily spammed(5-6 of them) and dont care much when you loose one.

thats the point
u can hold ur panther tiger or even a p4 very long and get good vet levels for them but fucking allied tanks are just to spam and to die.

hans is correct; other then pershings and callies (and oddly, a few M18s here and there) allied armor almost always gets instagibbed by something retarded like 4 dual-shrecked storms or whatever. Keeping vet (point of the mod) on an ALLIED armored units seems to be harder then keeping it on an AXIS one.

I want to ensure we have a 100% decision on the process before we do the wipe.
If not, then I wipe, then someone gets something they shouldn't, then it gets abused, then the shit hits the fan and then I ban shab.

Axis armor dies the same if you try and play it like allied players use theirs, run in, try to run guys over, and close range brawl. You'll notice that Axis armor stays at as long a range as it can.
Second, you lose performance over the long term with things like M10 etc if you try and keep vet. Don't get me wrong, you don't want to just throw them away, but if you can kill a tank by losing that M10/M18 then do it, they are worth more than your TD.
Personally, I see vet on tanks as a kind of diminishing return, the less of your overall force that tank is, the more likely it is to be worth letting it die to get some kills. It's like STuGs for Axis, you don't try to make them survive a game, you just want them to kill more than they cost.

I do have the agree the M10 is a crap tank currently, really only meant for suicides. The only durable allied tanks are the Jumbo, Sherman, and Pershing (and thus easier to retain vet). Hellcats die way too much, especially being immobile from doing an ambush shot and still having the dang shot bounce or miss which is quite annoying, and 2-3 fausts or tank hit pretty much will nuke a M10... axis armor is definitely easier to vet and retain when we are talking heavy tanks (Panther and up), the reason Axis medium armor may not perform well is the allies have to bring in a crap load of AT to fight heavy tanks, which is normal for an heavy but overkill for a medium.

Go ahead and field them then, I have never had any issues popping them with my faust only company, and you'd throw away so many just to scratch one of my tanks.
The m10 is utter garbage, it's range advantage isn't significant enough to help it like a firefly is against a p4 or a panther against a cromwell or sherman. And you definitely can't use a single one well against a KT or Jadg, due to rotation speeds and god forbid the m10 does some weird pathing and stops or does the stop/go thing which it loves to do sometimes.

lol lionel , 5 range is enough to kite a tank with 40 range just like with a 55 of firefly, you just have to micro more.
