i actually could agree with that.

in fact what would be cool is if offmaps* were made to be connected to planes tbh. have different paint jobs for different planes depending on what they do.

could be pretty damned interesting!

i deffinitly agree

although i think 90% of offmaps should be plane based with quite a few more of them (even if its mainly recons)

is it possible to have a plane offmap that shoots down planes?

The fastest way to have those sorts of mechanics in EiRR as it stands at the moment would be to have at least 1 type of aircraft based off-map for every doctrine with up to 2-3 uses at a relatively low price.

Proceed to then make AA capable vehicles more effective... Then voila, short term implementation until something that is more shiny comes along.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.

all recons, or awareness abilities could easily have a recon style plane attached. its all about figuring out a way to make howie style off maps to somehow have planes attached to them, which tbh we could have forward observer units that can be killed for a similar effect as well.

Artillery could potentially use a "Spotter plane".

A high speed recon flies over the requested barrage area, and shells proceed to hit the ground.

If the recon doesn't make it to the requested area, then the shells either wont be fired or hit a VERY random area around the desired mark. (Heavy drift, essentially)
