You'll probably get like 2-3 free mechs of each class, with standard weaponry, and have to micro-transact for anything better. I can see it being like WoT, but I hope it's not.

that just made me hard. although i always found mechwarrior to be a bit too indepth for my taste i'll still check it out. i've always been a huge fan of armored core, much more arcadey and simple.

They already stated no pay to win, you get mechs free and pay for other things like heraldry. I imagine it will be like HoN, early access to new mechs and weapons might cost, everything else you pay for is cosmetic. |

im going to be a dick here and say MW is a bit overrated.
Gameplay is slow and mechs look horribly simplistic.
Its moves like a slower version of Doom 1.
I played the earlier games and even played Sierras Earth Siege those were cool back in the day. But now...
Maybe ive been spoiled by japanese mech games like armored core where you can design a mech down to its hydraulics system if u want to increase speed and agility and which direction it moves faster. Though the later in the series took the speed and slick design too far. The mechs looked too skinny, probably following Japaneses emo culture.
Front Mission series had a good mix of clunky western design mixed with over detailed eastern design. Heavy Gear also had cool mechs like that. Oh i miss those 2 games. made me really love mechs.

Heavy Gear Heavy Gear was awesome. DICE should do a new one with Frost 2.0. I never liked armored core, they never felt like mechs. Starsiege/Earthsiege were great. Mechwarrior and MW 2 were good, 3 was ok, 4 got arcady. I want to feel like its a 40 ton walking robot kill machine, not a fucking jetpack fairy like the Japs like. |

Armoured Core on Ps1, it was epic I expected so much epic childhood memories to come rushing back when i tried armoured core 3 on Ps3. i was so disppointed  |

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
