I'm beginning to hate the seperation of HoN and Dota.
Dota 2 has a bunch of stuff I don't like artistically(the heroes for one. some of the dota heroes are fugly as shit)
Secondly, HoN made some Dota heroes better. And yes they made some worse. but overall most of the HoN avatars please me more then Dota avatars.(Pimp slayer is Epic! HoN's Legionnaire is 10x better then Dota's)
Third, HoN has some fucking epic heroes that Dota doesn't and I will miss them. I hope they find their way in somehow. Looking at you Maliken, Electrician, Gauntlet

And DotA has a bunch of heroes that HoN doesn't, and wont. Including Centaur which was my favorite hero. HoN also has a bunch of heroes that I will NOT miss, like Zephyr or Predator.
As for graphics, I'll wait until I actually play the final product before I judge them. It always looks completely different in screenshots or videos. I'm also hoping they won't do any alternate avatar bullshit... but I'll probably be disappointed in that regard:(

Predator is bullshit and stupid. Herp derp let's make Naix even better, I'm sure that can't end badly. Overall I definitely like the DotA heroes better, Electrician is really cool but meh he's collateral damage.

Exactly! And I tried HoN too but I hated the artstyle.
My first impressions are dkgjqkghjAWESOME, at least it's colourful so not as painful to transit to DOTA compared to HoN (coming from LoL)
Also, no keys unfortunately, I got the key from a gift friend invite myself. I'll give you guys a shoutout if I do manage to get my hands on some or know someone who has spares.

Man, valve really didn't disappoint with this one. Game plays really solid, graphics looks great and the spectator system is fantastic.

Ok after having played DotA 2 for almost a week now...
I can sum it up with "It's still a beta"
The controls are sluggish compared to HoN or LoL. Characters respond slowly to commands and Last hitting is a huge adjustment from other games.
The UI is not intuitive in the least and the Default Key bindings are the reason Jesus offed himself. Luckily you can rebind them.
The Courier system has alot of additional options that are not necessary for it's role.
The map is extremely undeveloped. Aside from placeholder shops(or what I assume are placeholders...) The Map ward spots have flora/fauna growth in alot of places which severely hinders creative ward placement
Again though, it's a beta and I hope they fix alot of stuff before a major release. I find I play 7-8 games of HoN in a row but I can only play 1 game of DotA 2

I've played a bit of DOTA 2 as well now and well, I really don't like the new shop interface. Last hitting and denying is gonna take a little getting used to as well but meh there's no avoiding that. It also feels kinda sluggish but I thought that was just my shitty laptop failing to run the graphics.
Anyway yeah strangely I prefer HON right now but I reckon DOTA 2 will be the better game in the long run. You can't go wrong with Tinker and Viper in your game.
Also fuck me I forgot how much Drow Ranger hurts. +36 agi for lvl3 ulti WTF. Fucking manta style, lothars DR outcarried my butterfly, vanguard, manta Viper

Yeah the Shop UI is terrible, i expect them to alter that.
Last hitting is annoying not because it's hard but because the UI and engine are fighting you for the ability to last hit effectively. It drives me up the wall. My buddies say Doom bringer has a good animation but damage isn;t applied until his backstroke which drives me mental.
