I play terror and I have festung warefare which gives them %15 damage, and let me say.... it's so lack luster... is it just pio flamethrowers that are affected? because man, even with both streams of flame on something it takes forever to kill atg, in fact, are you sure it's not -15% damage Wink

But when fighting an enemy in neutral/enemy territory they seem to do pretty good (T1 gives them an additional +15% more damage).

But this worries me, yes with a T1 and a T2 they become viable in the right territory, but in your own, territory, its still lackluster, this makes me think of how bad they must be with out these buffs. Does anyone use them when they don't get buffs?

Yeah... unless your using them in swarms to rush a spot on the map that's weak on AT, or using them in singles/doubles to run down separated/capping infantry it seems they rarely ever pay for themselves.

Better off with pumas for your LV work I think.

They are fine, buffing them would make them OP. If used right they can do really well and kill a lot, if used wrong they die superfast.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

I used them extensivly in no less then a 3 to 5 callin group.  People accused me of "Spamming"

ITs not that i spammed them, its that they are completly ineffective in less then a group of 3.

I have had, on numerous occasions, enemies laugh as a 1 man at either ranger, sapper, commando, or Airborne guy the last man in the squad hit my flammers with AT, in green cover as all 3 failed to kill it for a good 30-45 seconds and lose 1 Flammenwaffen.

Its a very iffy unit, In blobs with Both flame guns it seems to do better as the Crit is what actually does the Killing not the Dmg.

So positioning this unit where both flames are going on different units is a much better scenario then focus firing.

I think a increasing speed, Reload, or Crit chance better suits it then Dmg.

Oh and when that doctrine first had that unlock last rework i tried it first company build, i played 2 games and stopped.  Its not as strong as some would think which is good, but its not a big buff either.

Puddin' spamtm
i cant really blame smokaz i mean playing against puddin is like trying to fight off breast cancer. You might win and do it and be a bad ass but you'll feel sick and mutilated forever.

Puddin' spamtm is soulcrushing... what's hard to understand about that?

1 Flammen is good too, just gotta micro it, if you manage to keep it alive it can get good kills.

For 5 pop, its almost worth just keeping in the back of a mg42 and a pak. Not worth it for rifles to enter it's range most of the time, especially when they are unsupported.

And unsupported riflemen is a regular strategy nowadays.

i rather have a gren squad supporting an mg than a flammen tbh.

i totally agree with everything puddin says, too many times do i think, pfft a rifle squad with a zook, whatever! then bam down one flammen from one fricken zook on a rifle squad, you should be able to kill them faster than that.
