It was already practically disabled in its previous form (at 100 cache), but for now it has been taken out entirely. As a result, prices & pool have also largely been reverted to what they were pre-weapons cache. (Since the changes were a direct result of the implementation of the weapons cache)

We will be closely monitoring the situation, and the implementation of  a similar system of upgrade availability (or reworked version of the weapons cache) is being kept in consideration.

We apologise for the inconvenience these changes may cause to your company.

You can't have both, without upgrade availability price needs to keep into account the strenght of an upgrade when fielded en masse. I personally regret no longer having unupgraded (elite) infantry at lower pool costs, company building just lost a lot of its variety.

Which is why I personally would like to see us move forward with phase 1 of my proposed rework (see general discussion). I honestly don't see how anyone could disagree with it, since all it will do is enable unupgraded units from weighing less in pool cost than their upgraded counterparts. Simple and clean. (Phase 1 can't even be considered an 'availability' system like the weapons cache, all it does is fix a flaw in the current unit pool system) But anyway, let's not run ahead of things.

Just as long as I will never see an ungodly ammount of superfalls from a single player in a game after whatever system is implemented, I'm good...

I like the idea of "Elite" upgraded infarty being somewhat rare on the field

None of my companies had any sort of serious issues under any of the weapons cache systems.
But dear sweet christ super falls are awful to play against.

Should go for Rangers, Stormies, Falls, and Commando (including Piats) as well.

Why can't you just start with weapon upgrades on infantry first and then move onto support weapons, and vehicle upgrades.

i think one of the biggest issues is that some of the vehicle upgrades cost WC and it screwed with the rest of things.

or just make it infantry upgrades. expanding it to support and vehicle upgrades kinda broke it imo. If the main purpose is to make it so things like elite infantry can be used weaponless in more numbers then start there, dont do it all at once, thats not a phase 1, thats a beta. You always start at alpha

Because that way you'd be discriminating against infantry orientated doctrines, that naturally have more infantry pool and expect you to specialise in upgraded infantry. Not to mention that you always would, since most of the unit upgrades that were affected, even in the cache the way it was implemented, were infantry ones. If we use a pool based approach, this wouldn't be an issue. (Since infantry pool is based on doctrine choice)

Tbh i only complained about it when it was broken with a massive fuck you lack of balance, When you guys made it 100 points it was not that bad and i am still pondering how you can go past those 100 points(even tough everything was just made double but it made things easyer to figure out).
