Should now be fixed. With the introduction of the warmap this will become the primary gamemode again.  Smiley

Its boring because your ability to defend was so extremely exaggerated. I think when A/D becomes the norm we will see a lot of games like this, ultimately reinforcing why doctrine specialization is so overpowered without a cost.

Too bad so many of the D/A popular units scars the game. Last game we had a howie truck SCAR'ing. 88 Scaring all the time

There's doctrines designed around defending, and others designed around attacking. This is hardly a new thing, it's been in place since the first eir doctrines. I think it's really just a matter of adapting to the gamemode again (and preparing your company for it), we've had A/D for years and it was fine, people have gotten too used to ME and R+ for the last year.

In regards to doctrine specialisation being problematic, I think the only real problem lies in the discrepancy between lvl 5 and 9 accounts, and in specific doctrine ability imbalances. With the removal of the grind, an everyone being more or less the same level, the former will be taken care of. We will be 'finalising' the doctrine implementation to ensure that the latter is no longer a problem as well. (It is my belief that a lot of the game's current imbalances stem primarily from doctrine abilities that are in dire need of balancing, with some T4s being OP and others simply worthless, and with dual T3s not always offering a proper alternative) The quicker we can take a closer look at our doctrine abilities, in terms of balance, the better.

If scar errors occur please post a screenshot of the error (look in your console when the error occurs and page up until the text reads FATAL SCAR ERROR blablabla) in the bug forum asap

not rly. I don't rly have a clue what could be causing the scar error. only thing I noticed so far is that every single screenshot seems to have the exact same error on it.

the only thing it reports every time is that the function  EIR_doFlak88Spawn crashes on this line:

if players[pid].towable[squadid] ~= nil then


someone who knows scar just needs to go look at it.

You should consider making that offer in public, I can't imagine we would be without a scar coder for much longer Tongue
Though there don't seem to be many scar coders left in the coh community in general
