Am I the only one here thinking that if a reward unit costs reward points it should not instantly be better then all its peers because its 'rare'.

Now when I say this I mean in this perspective,

*Prepatch Chaffee*

Player 1: "dear god that things overpowered"

Player 2: "Thats cuz it costs reward points!"

Player 1: "How does that have to do anything with the stats?"

Player 2: "Your retarded!"

Seriously if I even dare question anything about a reward units stats, the other guy will always bring up the point that "its a reward unit thus its supposed to be better."

Now I'll give an example, lets talk about the comet!

This thing has sherman armor, a 77mm with pershing penetration and with a CCT this thing will obliterate infantry and tanks while out ranging panzer 4s and stugs just enough to kite them.

Essentially I can call this thing a better version of the cromwell, I might even argue the fact that its better then a pershing!

"But it costs reward points..."

And apparently that will be the end of discussion for all reward units. Thats why marines are balanced even though they cost 70 more mp then riflemen(Seriously, Id Just replace all my ranger squads with marines if I had a level 9 Infantry company).

The warmap is like Dukenukem Forever.

No one thinks it will ever be released, then several years after everyone has given up the little hope they have it gets released from out of nowhere. And then it turns out it sucks.

I would also replace all my infartry with marines... but I cant...

Because they are reward units and limited

The officer is considerably better than a riflemen squad at carrying weapons. Officers have good accuracy so they will hit most targets.

just to rain on your parade a bit.

The comet is vastly more expensive then the cromwell.

Yup I know,

But it aint as expensive as a pershing, but yet its gun is on par with it.

All I was saying is that i dont like the "its a reward unit, its rare, thus thats why its balanced" argument.

Wouldn't be a problem is axis and allies got equally cool and useful reward units.
Sadly only the Axis seem to get the cool shit still.  I just don't get it.  Its like the devs have writter's block or are total axis fanboys.

the allied units are nice too, but axis units are just more survivable generally. since they're bigger...

and since survivability is the only important thing for reward units atm.. there you go.

I think reward units should be like 20-30% better than their counterparts. You should WANT to use a reward unit over the other option. But they shouldnt be omgwtfpwn.

If I lowered the buying power to 1 RP = 1 use, then your opinion would change.

true, but does that even matter when once the warmap is in there won't be RPs?

I agree with spartan i have used comets. the comet itself will tear up infrantry and some tanks but its not like  a panther cant kite it to death like the pershing, the armor is terrible anything will penetrate it  any AT of anykind *cough storms*   will put a massive hurt on it.

Its all reward units not because they are reward poinst only but because what the hell would be the point of getting them if it was a slightly better cromwell?.  i already have a croc which deals more damage then a cromwell will Time and Time again.

Are you kidding about axis reward units being more fun?
Seriously, the brit reward units are awesome and blow the wher ones out of the water tbh, and no, the tiger ace isnt really that cool. Archilles, Funny halftrack, comet, marines and anzacs all fill gaps...
Elite grens, tiger ace, JPIV and others are just buffed versions of units already there.

Thing is, brit reward units in particular fill roles that they dont have. The Comet is a proper MBT and the anzacs are proper assault infartry, not to mention the Archillies is a proper tank hunter. These units fit roles in a way that normal brit units dont.

Axis reward units on the other hand mostly consist of "Better Stug, Better Tiger, Better Grens, Suckier 88"... Or PE, "Better ostwind, Fast Light IST", well, wespe and snipers are pretty cool.

Anyway, this is why the allied reward units are in general several times cooler, because fuck, I havent enjoyed using any other units like I did my comets since I ran storms.
