Is it like Europe in Ruins in that you can gain veterancy levels on your units that will carry across battles? If so I may research this further.

Quote
The individual experience of units plays a critical role in the outcomes of battles. During missions, units gain experience points. A small amount of experience is given to your troops for every successful shot, while the total destruction of an enemy unit gives much more experience. The more expensive and experienced the destroyed unit was, the more experience is earned!
Along the battles, your armies will level up through 5 experience levels, from mere rookies to elite units. During the solo campaign, all surviving units will follow you from mission to mission. You will have to protect them in order to benefit from their earned experience in the long run.

An experienced unit will not be more powerful or resilient than a similar, rookie unit, but it will be more lethal because able to act more efficiently. It will be much more accurate with its weapon systems, will spot enemies faster, and will also be less prone to lose morale and abilities under heavy fire. Used with wisdom, a veteran unit will be able to face several units and still be victorious.

I overheard a conversation on Vent that you cannot attack units in a forest, even with attack ground. Game breaking?

You can easily attack units in a forest, the problem is people think that their tanks should be able to draw line of fire through the woods. You need to be within a certain range of units deeper in the woods to engage them.

That or just use things that allow you to ground attack =)

The officer is considerably better than a riflemen squad at carrying weapons. Officers have good accuracy so they will hit most targets.

yea,but I was talking about one kind of unit.

So,can you prevail if you team spams one type of unit, thus, making some of enemy units kinda useless against this kind of unit.

nah typically a good player wont use 200-300 of his points incase something like this occurs, usually a SAM site can beat 3-4 copters before they get into range, and a tunguska can beat about 5 or 6 till before it dies. Helicopters are extremely expensive and are vulnerable to small arm weapons Shocked Jump in a forest and the helicopters cant touch you.

One really good game I took this hill with about 200+ US riflemen and rangers and I could easily defeat any tank rush or air attack on my position... but the enemy surrounded the hill with tanks and cut me off.  Salan had to get a few Super Chinooks to fly me in much needed supplies of TOW missiles as they kept throwing cheap armor to over run my position and making me go through what few missiles i had left, yet they had enough troops around my position to prevent any of my allies from getting much needed heavy armor to assist me.

And that is just one game Tongue

Seriously, please post that up, I so want to see that Cheesy
