Question: What do you guys think the devs should do about gliders.
Make gliders cost pop and money
make gliders into slots and make the slots cost money but no pop
dont make gliders cost anything or any pop
make gliders free but take up pop when the glider comes out onto the field

ok here is how it has to work, unfortunately (i think) like para troopers if a platoon is all commando's  or tetearchs (how ever the fuck you spell that) then they will be glider borne if there is anything that was not forementioned in the platoon then they will all jog on as normal.

correct me if im wrong tho..

my plan is to have gliders be a mobile troop deployment center...ex: u land the glider and u can call any troops in ur Airborne section (instead of support, switch it with airborne). the airborne section will have slots that u buy and each slot represents 1 glider...the gliders can only hold so many troops. and ect.

plan b

support section changed to airborne...when u click on the airborne tab u deploy a glider wich is free of charge anywhere onthe map. U can then call in any squads u have in the glider tab. if the glider is destroyed the remaining uncalled squads are undeployable. the glider in this idea should have increased health

gliders will have to be used almost exacty as in OF, they land and stuff spawns (only glider bourne stuff tho, no tommies or bren carriers) coding limitation if i remember correctly.

They should not cost anything.  They should just be a property of air-droppable Commando units.

The only problem, then, is making the game recognise when you are dropping in a commando squad, and actually throw up the little glider template for you.

I disagree. I think a full mechanized company should come out of a glider.

that is a long while comming i think, the fix to get EIR even working again has to be done first, and with relic online in its anti-mod mode, who knows when that will be.
